Dec 1st 2009 10:51AM "This is the reason i failed getting the last holiday title (and, more important to me, the pet reward): solely because i just didn't have the heart to bother to try to find a group to help me through the dungeon required to get the final achievement"
If the Title/pet/achievement were important to you, you should have at least tried to find a way. Not having the will to put forth an effort is never going to get you anything you want. WoW is much like real life in this respect.
Also, If you assume that you are going to get abused, or insulted by everyone else out there in-game for neding help, and use that as your justification for not asking, then you are only going to end up missing out. A long time ago, I was waiting for the boat to dustwallow when a lowbie 'lock asked me If I knew where his next pet quest was. (For context, I was lvl 60 and he was maybe 20 or so) I did, and I escorted him through the barrens so he could get his pet. I still talk to him after all these years.
1 - If you want something, go get it. Your effort is directly related to your reward.
2 - Have some faith in people.
3 - Have FUN!!
Nov 6th 2008 9:52PM I want one toooooo!
Sep 22nd 2008 9:33PM I love my SB spam, hate fire spells and cant stand my imp... So all in all im really not excited about the way things are working out, so I guess ill be back to Aff.. yay for staring at timers all raid :(
Sep 14th 2008 11:02AM Wonder if theyll make it possible to raid horde cities without the server crashing.. if not, then this one will be mostly hordeside at least on my server.
Apr 23rd 2008 12:23AM PVE raiders dont need to be "good" at the raids.. they can wipe 100 times in there.. as long as they keep doing it.. and down the bosses.. they will get their drop..
The key words there are "and down the bosses." Sorry but if raiders go in there with groups that are terrible for the boss were doing, and we dont have what we need, we dont down the boss, thus no loot.
It amazes me that people seem to think that for NOT beating the other teams, they should get the best of the gear out there. If you can only get high enough to get s2 gear during s4 then thats what you earned. Want to get s3/s4, find the right group, improve the necessary skills and work your way up.
The new system for arena gear, is fair, and is the way it should have always been. I do however agree that ratings shouldnt be needed for stuff you get with honor. thats just foolishness.
Mar 7th 2008 12:03PM I must've missed the patch where locks dont have a GCD on dots. oh and the days of fear kiting at max level are long gone, so it would be nice if people moved into the present. My lock (destro for raids right now) has 1 instacast DOT, 1 at 2.5 secs, and shadowbolt. (2.5 secs) IF i get a fear off on a melee (never gonna happen if its a rogue and not usually on a war) it lasts 10 secs MAX. they trinket and are on me before i can cast the second one. Stunlock from a rogue means im dead. Period. If the dont trinket i get 2 dots and 2 SB's off. the first SB will break the fear 90% of the time, so if i can kill you with 4 dot ticks and a SB (2 dots ticking 2 times @ 3 secs.) then i can see why you think locks are OP. But if you have any kind of resil and decent health then you had a fair shot at killing me.
Were not all SL/SL or Deep Affliction.
Jan 28th 2008 8:48AM while i think world pvp is far mor fun that bg or arenas, it would be nice if you could have a full out capitol raid without the server crashing or having lag so bad you cant do anything.
Jan 23rd 2008 9:52AM Both my toon are maxed, and they bothe use them liberally. My destro lock has to lifetap alot on long fights, and that saves a healer worrying about me. and my holy pally uses them when i dont wanna burn mana on myself that should be going to the tank's heals. not having FA maxed and knowing how to use it is simply leaving a solid tool behind, and only hurts you and your raid.
Jan 7th 2008 2:41PM Sometimes, new leaders need guidance to become better as well. Just because someone shows intersest in a position doesnt mean they're only out for glory. As someone stated above, the question didnt state how active the person was in the guild, but if he/she is asking for more responsibilty, then the guilds leadership should determine what theyre after, and if it is a genuine desire to help, then they should be willing to help this person grow, just as if they were asking about a spec or a questline.
