Apr 18th 2009 5:36PM Player created content is one of those ideas that works well on paper but never really pans out. Its like trying to find good music on myspace. A couple jems will stand out, but most of it will be unimaginative and repetitive.
I am surprised anyone would try to do it with an mmo. If it ends up working like I suspect it won't, then that would be great. Not holding my breath.
Mar 30th 2009 5:37PM While, for the most part I agree that ultimatums are certain peoples way of finding a safe exit, however there are a few factors that need to be taken into consideration. If Naix was only playing wow for a few hours a day, then he seemed to make what I can see as a right choice. If he was playing for 12 hours a day, then an ultimatum could have been the only way his wife could have seen to save their marriage.
I quit playing wow a little while ago. My relationship has never been better. I know she was practically ready to issue an ultimatum because I was playing for 10 hours a day, was virtually ignoring her, and she was extremely frustrated. Its not in the best interest of her mental health to stay involved with someone who is not going to swap more than 50 words with her in a day not counting arguments or snaps.
So, if Naix was playing for half a day every day then he probably made a very bad decision. If he was only playing casually, then he probably dodged a bullet.
Mar 27th 2009 3:58PM Have you ever spent any time reading trade chat? You can't get more retarded than that. Fact.
Mar 27th 2009 3:53PM Games are by no means limited to when they ship the box any longer. X360 and PS3 both have harddrives and internet connections, and the games get patched regularly if the system is online. You can download mods and play online and all the other good stuff that you can do with a pc. It just doesn't have as sophisticated a control scheme as a mouse and keyboard.
Mar 25th 2009 1:37AM Probably true. Also probably true that if they don't get any clicks the add doesn't continue. So the more clicks they get, the longer the add stays up, the more money they make, the bigger the bill for ea.
Mar 23rd 2009 3:38AM Funny piece of trivia. Skinner is prison slang for someone charged with sexual assault. I won't go into specifics of what it means. I know this because I work in the crime prevention industry.
Anyways, the title reads very funny to someone who knows what the word means. RPing a skinner.
Mar 4th 2009 11:57PM Pineapple has no rightfully place on pizza. Its like putting kiwifruit or apples on it.
Mar 4th 2009 11:56PM It was snowing the other day in Dragonblight.
Feb 27th 2009 2:16AM I was hoping someone could clerify where in australia the Weta Workshop is?
Feb 26th 2009 11:03PM Its not a matter of time. Its a matter of boredom and frustration.
I hear people talk about making 500g an hour from quests. I have never made that much in an hour of questing. I have come to the opinion that those are people who either have epic flying to help them along with gathering and travel or are full of bs.
Anyways, why are you acting so aggressive towards anyone who isn't an instant fan of this change? I usually used my cd as an excuse to farm or explore or hang out with friends in orgrimmar.
