May 7th 2008 11:06AM I'm at work but can only wish I was flying over Halaa right now. See, this is a service you're giving to bored people like me. Did I ever tell you you're my hero? And everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, for you are the wind beneath my wings.
May 7th 2008 10:22AM As a footnote, Tanya Tagaq first came under the spotlights with Björk's all-vocal album "Medulla". Her voice is prominently featured in songs like "Ancestors" and "Pleasure Is All Mine". She also toured with Björk to some destinations during the album's world tour.
May 3rd 2008 2:05PM I agree, both shammie and hunter sets should look much better on the races that can wear them. Human males really don't make the best of models.
May 2nd 2008 8:39AM The delusional Aran's quotes are made better by the voice actor. So melodic.
"Who are you? What do you want? Stay away from me!"
"I want this nightmare to be over!"
"Torment me no more!"
I love this guy.
May 2nd 2008 7:21AM "AoC and WAR may be just the thing to get them on their toes and perhaps get them to think seriously about the future of their golden goose"
Treima, since both these games have been in development for a while and been heavily publicizing their strengths and differences from WOW, I'd say Blizzard (who probably had access to more insider info) must already have started thinking about their future a long time ago. WOTLK should be the fruit of that. I hope.
Apr 29th 2008 4:37AM This is one of the best films I've seen in the last year- and I've seen it more than once. It's also the first Breillat film that has absorbed me rather than making me want to tear up the screen. "Anatomy of Hell", for example, must be one of the hardest films to sit through. I still regret listening to those literary, crappy dialogues instead of leaving the film in the middle. I almost had a panic attack.
But "The Last Mistress" is full of genuine moments, like the first time Vellini and Ryno de Marigny see each other while she's eating an ice-cream, and he's commenting on how "ugly" she is to a friend, which she overhears. What follows is a perfect character moment for the two, and all they are doing is stare at each other. But it's perfectly caught, planned and acted.
Breillat knows what she's doing here and her actors are a perfect match for their roles. Argento is a natural fit for the exaggerrated ways of Vellini, can't get enough of her in this. Aattou's feminine beauty complements Argento's masculinity. Mesquida makes a lovely "spiteful good girl". Sarraute and Moreau are almost a hoot to watch.
It drags just a little bit towards the end but it's still a great film nevertheless. I can only hope Breillat will match it with her future films.
Apr 28th 2008 8:26AM I don't think the first previews were that different from the end product in the photo up there. From what I've seen, they've all had that dustiness, almost as if they are made out of sandpaper.
As a business, I think it's a very exciting idea. Perhaps the technology still needs to be developed to deliver shiny figures with bright, true to the game colors. It's almost impressive now but I'd wait until then.
Apr 22nd 2008 8:13AM Not everyone knows what stats and items benefit other classes. Chances are you would still lose rolls that way because of others' uneducated/ poor judgement.
Apr 4th 2008 9:29AM The reason given for her taking the role is ridiculous indeed but, given the news source (Star Magazine?), it's not something I'd lean my back on.
"Florence" can turn out to be as bad as "I Know Who Killed Me" for all I care but, for now- and as stated above- how do we know it's not a "film with a good role" for her? Too quick at jumping to conclusions, probably because of Lohan's recent reputation. This post comes off more like a found opportunity to beat a dead horse, and state a prejudice for Lohan rather than a commentary.
Apr 1st 2008 6:43AM I think this might still sort of be a first look at some of the new character customization options. Maybe not the tattoos on the arms, but the "your Blood Elf made tougher looking" eye make-up.
