Patch 3.2 Death Knight changes {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 4:57PM I think the changes are good for Frost DPS (especially those interested in DW) and bad for Frost Tanking.

Patch 3.2 Death Knight changes {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 4:55PM I'm concerned that Frost Strike change among the other changes to tanking abilities will hamper DK Frost tanking too much. I have enough problems now generating threat. I don't need Frost Strike to be dodge/parried.

Patch 3.2 changes the tiered Emblem system {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 4:50PM Are people forgetting that this was mostly the case in BC?

Patch 3.2 changes the tiered Emblem system {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 4:29PM I imagine they will not be converted since you will be able to downgrade Conquest to Valor and Heroism. Additionally there is no word on change the currency needed to buy T7 and T7.5 gear (though who will at this point).

15 Minutes of Fame: The furry fandom {WoW}

Jun 15th 2009 4:06PM Not the worst idea.

The truth about Authenticators [Updated] {WoW}

Jun 10th 2009 4:57PM The iPhone/iPod Touch based authenticators are fantastic. If you do as you are supposed to you have the app synced to your desktop so even if you loose or break the phone the App with the authenticator ID is backed up and when you get a new phone you don't have to worry about re-pairing your authenticator with your account.

Beyond the authenticator a little common sense goes a long way to prevent yourself from being WoW hacked.

Ten things WoW players should know from E3 {WoW}

Jun 10th 2009 2:29PM My view is that the only thing that will defeat WoW is WoW. Specifically that WoW as a property will show its age (some argue that's happening already) and interest will wain as time goes on. I suspect the new MMO that Blizzard is working on is a new product to catch individuals and keep them spending with Blizzard when the inevitable exodus from WoW happens sometime in the not too distant future.

The woes of Block {WoW}

May 28th 2009 5:43PM @Sorro: In my view no. It would mimic the Blade Barrier effect that DK's have already.

The balance would be that DK's can keep Blade Barrier's 5% damage reduction up nearly 100% of the time (only need to keep the 2 blood runes on cooldown) vs. Paladins and Warriors who would have a 15% (or whatever the block chance is) chance to "block" a physical or spell attack from a single source reducing its damage for 15-20%. Perhaps for every 100 BV the character gets 1% damage reduction against a SINGLE source.

This is something I just came up with out of the blue and am open up for another solution.

The woes of Block {WoW}

May 28th 2009 2:07PM Just an idea off the top of my head (take it or leave it). How about block reducing a percentage (that could scale from BV) of all damage from a single source?

Why Varian Wrynn is a fool, part II {WoW}

May 28th 2009 1:59PM I love articles like this since it gets people worked up and debating points of view. Though I believe it's pretty clear that Blizzard intentionally structures the lore to demonstrate that neither the Horde or Alliance have moral superiority over the other. In their own rights both are societies that have dark moments in their history and structural/political problems among their members.

That said, even though I consider myself an Alliance person the Tauren are my favorite race in the game. There is some I just like about giant docile nature loving cows.
