Nov 21st 2009 6:02PM I'm not sure why you think you can't run multiple copies of WoW on your Mac. I've definitely played 3 accounts at one time. I just duplicated my wow folder in the applications folder. Once I had 3 copies I simply booted them right up. With the built in space feature I could even separate them into 3 virtual monitors. I then just used a keycloning program to mirror my keys to the other apps and was good to go. Also if you really wanted you could boot up in boot camp, but I haven't really tried that for WoW.
Nov 21st 2009 5:59PM Been playing on Macs since WoW came out. It ran horribly on the first Mac I had been running it on, but it was certainly playable for the most part. I bought the game tho purely because I enjoyed DAOC on my old roomates computer while he was at work and he started playing WoW and recommended it to me. I always liked Blizzard games and was big fan of the fact that they always released both mac and windows version. With Blizzard I never felt like the kid picked last to play baseball because I had some sort of handicap.
I'm still with WoW to this day because it runs great on my Mac. They even built in video recording support for us Mac users and if you have ever had a problem and used the support forums the Mac guys are great. It's not about a Windows versus Mac thing for me. It's really about what works best for me and I find that my Mac does everything I want and there is a definitely a community of people built around it.
Aug 20th 2009 7:55PM Silly me and not proofreading before posting.
" If I thunderstorm someone with this new thunderstorm that happens to be 36 yards away from me they are going to be 56 yards away."
I meant to say typhoon instead of thunderstorm.
Aug 20th 2009 7:53PM Demonic Circle is not a get out of jail free card, but last I checked it was the only escape tool that literally lets your port out of line of site and even vertically to different levels. I would take demonic circle in a heart beat over some damage reduction while stunned.
Aug 20th 2009 7:37PM As a person who really enjoys playing a moonkin I find the changes to be pretty lack luster. I'll first touch on the typhoon change that just makes me laugh. Additional knock back is nice don't get me wrong, but it also makes the spell a bit when you think about the range on typhoon compared to the radius of thunderstorm. If I thunderstorm someone with this new thunderstorm that happens to be 36 yards away from me they are going to be 56 yards away. This sounds nice, but that also puts them out of range of the moonkins spells. All in all this is a buff to the spell, but I can see it being rather over the top at times.
As for damage reduction while stunned this is obviously a buff, but not exactly what moonkins need. When in moonkin form we have roughly 18-20k armor and already reducing physical damage quite a bit. Mix this in with barkskin and we can survive stuns pretty well. The real issue is when we finally break the stun we have very few options to get some distance. Cyclone and roots are great, but they can be kicked/interupted. So despite the fact that we may live through the stun we aren't going to get much distance. We can't typhoon while stunned and smashing on typhoon till the stun wears off isn't much of a help since 99 percent of the time the person doing the stunning is going to be behind you.
If Blizzard really wants to help moonkins they need to give us some sort of CC that is an arcane spell or some ways for us to use shapeshifting to get away. I've always liked the shapeshifting aspect of druids and would prefer that they find some way for us to maybe shift cheetah and maintain some of our durability. They could do something similar to the imp barkskin changes. Currently it looks like I'll be forced to spend more time in moonkin form then using my hybrid druid shapeshifting ways to play.
I like moonkin form, but I didn't play a druid to be locked down to one form all the time. The changes are buffs, but not exactly what we need to be more viable in PvP.
Jul 18th 2009 9:14PM I guess the next question is whether or not two different teams can reach 3k in the same bracket and cause there to be two #1 ranked teams.
Jul 4th 2009 7:09PM I want prizes.
Mar 20th 2009 5:49PM I caught two Mr. Pinchy's one after the other. Pretty sweet dumb luck.
Mar 12th 2009 3:54PM Pretty common knowledge that this site is owned and paid for by AOL. Yes the big name America Online. If you scroll to the bottom of the page you'd see all of that though. :D
