Mar 21st 2011 10:26AM I just returned to the game after leaving during Burning Crusade. It wasn't any different then. End Game raiding broke up our guild. I came back now, and while the guild is still maintained by a Hunter who wanted to keep it going, it's got maybe 5 active players. And most of the players I played with aren't even playing or are on different realms now. The end game has always been a burnout from what I remember.
This time around, I'm content to quest, and enjoy the new content. I don't need to raid, it's for people who have the time and patience to devote their 100% of their gameplay to support it (gear runs, money for pots etc, gathering mats).
Dec 15th 2008 6:09PM I got out of WoW about last year this time, and one justfication for not coming back was I like PvE content and my main is a rogue... I topped DPS for our Kara raids in TBC, but with Death Knight coming, nothing I saw showed that rogue wouldn't be outclassed in melee by a DK. I looked at one the other day on my old server, and Shikyò (Aerie Peak) is doing like 557 dps.... that's something I would expect to see on a Hunter... and quite a bit above 80 rogues I've seen. Not to mention, wearing platemail and having 20k hp.
