May 7th 2008 4:49AM I think the whole copyright case was about that what is called MMOGLIDER right now was first called WOWGLIDER.
If you're interested, there should be a copy of the original case documents on the mmoglider forums.. don't know if it's still up or not :)
Apr 19th 2008 9:14PM "However if you remove the PvE elements, the game would be nothing like it is."
This is nothing but true. World of warcraft is a game with a big lore behind it.
However, the PvP element in WoW could be seen as an implementation of this lore. But this -of course- only applies to world pvp and battleground pvp, as it is possible to compete versus player of your own race/faction in arenas.
I'm a PvE player, but i do enjoy PvP. World PvP and battleground PvP that is.
I dislike the arena games, because it's mainly them where the 'counter strike'-like "omfg i'm better than you n00b" atmosphere rises.
Really controversial topic, and your article is well written. Good fun!
Apr 11th 2008 8:27AM Macros are king.
On my priest which i mainly play PvE on, i use only one macro and it's for dispelling. It cancels the current cast and then casts dispel.
Also when multi-box playing my shamans i use a lot of macros, mainly for targetting, movement and casting totems.
Jan 22nd 2008 8:49AM I've never been a serious gamer before, but i started playing WoW about a year ago to play with some friends that were on the same server. I found the leveling pretty boring but enjoyed myself with leveling professions and reselling things from the auction house.
Later when i reached level 58 on my priest and entered the dark portal, that's where the game really started for me. I haven't stopped playing ever since! That's where it got me! :)
