DC shows off Series 5 figures {WoW}

Feb 18th 2009 4:57PM Ditto on Varian's sculpt. The best would be two deluxe figures with special bases, Varian in the king's armor with his dual Quel'serrar and Thrall on his throne with the Doomhammer.

As it stands Varian's figure looks like Generic He-Man Ripoff #132. I have the deluxe draenei paladin figure and even though its twice the size as that Varian, the arm muscles (which are large) are nowhere near as ridiculous.

It looks like he strapped a live pig to his chest.

A Kael'thas figure wouldn't be all that exciting, Lich King, definitely, the new Illidan is superior to the first in my opinion.

One thing I wish they would make, as Sideshow Collectibles did with Lord of the Rings structures, have a polystone miniature sculpture of Dalaran floating in the clouds.

Ask a Lore Nerd: Hail to the king {WoW}

Jan 19th 2009 1:09AM The common theory is that Nozdormu, being the only living being to know the time, place, and manner of his own death is trying to prevent that. Perhaps it is closer than we think, and that's why the activity of the infinite flight is spilling over into our world more and more.

My theory expands on that.

So far the events the infinite flight has targeted seem to have little to connect them. Thrall's escape, the opening of the Dark Portal, and the culling of Stratholme. The one common thread, though, is you, the player. Not only are these events key moments in history that led to the horde becoming the new horde, and the reformation of the alliance to its present form, if any one of them were to be stopped it could be argued that you, the player would never exist.

This would seem to suggest that we're going to be the ones to off him.

Around Azeroth: One with the shadows {WoW}

Franz is very manly from what I understand. Send an emissary to your dark paymaster Mantits Schramm that the war resumes!

Jan 10th 2009 4:13PM Goddamnit Franz stop giving aid to the enemy!

Ask a Lore Nerd: Demons rule, naga drool {WoW}

Jan 5th 2009 5:51PM he's also, barring a retcon, dead.

I would like to see an expansion where the Alliance and Horde attack Argus, though. The Draenei could take back their homeworld. That'd be pretty epic.

Hi Arthas! Want some help slaughtering the innocent? {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2008 3:12PM What makes a lot more sense isn't that Arthas has something to do with Nozdormu's death, but that you have something to do with it. After all, the only constant character through all of the Caverns of Time instances is you. You stop the infinites at Durnholde, you stop the infinites at the dark portal, you stop them in stratholme.

If Nozdormu is the leader of the infinite dragonflight, he isn't trying to stop specific events from happening, he's trying to stop you from becoming powerful enough to eventually destroy him. In any of the above scenarios, wherein Arthas fails, Illidan fails, the Alliance/New Horde fail, your character will never enter the scene in the ways that you have.

As to why the Keepers of Time would want to help Arthas, they are not there to intervene, or interfere, they are always there to preserve, to guard time. For better or worse, they are the guardians, they are the gatekeepers, and their charge is to ensure that events play out as intended.

Ask A Beta Tester: Spirit, AoE, and raid loot {WoW}

Nov 8th 2008 7:28PM He also whispers you, calls you a noob, tells you to get better gear, etc. He warned me not to drink too much at "that party" as well.

Rest assured time travel is involved in that quest.
