Jun 7th 2008 11:59AM I'd say yes. For the most part, I am equally excited (which is till to say really excited!), but the addition of the DK class makes this a more desirable expansion for me. Plus, Northrend is larger and, from what I've seen, more visually interesting that Outland. My explorer's heart is all about it!
Jun 4th 2008 12:00AM Hi, Tamzin. I wasn't terribly fond of the joke about picking up guys in WoW either, but I'm not giving anyone any flack over it. :\
I personally don't like that the person chosen to be interviewed is someone so down on the game. I understand her contribution to the endgame makes it so, and yeah, it';s a reality alot of players are facing, but frankly, it bummed me out. :( I don't come to WoW Insider to be bummed out. Haha
Either way, decent artcle.
May 27th 2008 12:18PM A friend and I are leveling Alliance Druids after having 5 Horde level 70s, just for the heck of it. Allianceingeneral have a bugger of a time at 35-45, but these Druids are just stagnating at around 45-50. Once we get Mangle I'm sure things will go faster, but 40-50 on a druid seems like a heck of a slump.
May 16th 2008 2:26PM I was playing the trial of LOTRO the other day, and it occurred tome why I enjoy WoW's look so much. It fits together. When something is overly realistic, it becomes easier and easier for our eyes, which are accustomed to actual reality,to pick out the things that are wrong. When parts of trees look oddly flat in LOTRO I question it much more than I do in WoW.
I would welcome an update to the engine if it allowed for more complex spell effects, more armor with moving bits, etc. Just a generally larger amount of complex and curious things to look at. But I don't feel that going toward realism, per se, is something the WoW designers are even interested in. Which is a good thing, imo.
May 14th 2008 2:24PM I'd like to my Alliance Druid to 70. I have 5 Horde 70s now but I want a 70 Alliance to experience Wrath and DKs from the Alliance side as well. Very doable. She's at 48 right now.
I'd like to see more T5 content and maybe even Hyjal. Very doable. I just changed to a slightly more hardcore guild.
At least 10k gold. I'm sitting on about 5-6k right now. Shouldn't be too hard.
I want to have a large stockpile of items that will be needed to level my professions, including whatever we know about inscription mats.
Exalted with more Outland Factions on my main. Probably doable, thought I hate the grind. Haha.
I'd also like to get my Champion of the Naaru title at some point, probably on my Pally healer.
May 13th 2008 2:26PM Because games are not reality. It's a fantasy world. An escapist reality. Should not an escapist reality be better and more rewarding than actual reality?
May 13th 2008 2:20PM @ mcsaeki: Don't feel bad! My healadin totally wears the cloth robe off of the bear boss in ZA. It was three times better them my S1 chest piece! What was I supposed to do? (Plus it's pretty!)
May 13th 2008 2:17PM I agree wholeheartedly with the point you make about 40 to 25 man setups. 25-mans are infinitely harder than 40-mans were. You can't slack off. Often times you can't die at all, whereas how many people died on MC bosses? A dozen? And you still killed them. If a dozen people die in the Kael fight you're all toast.
25-mans in Wrath will still be like this. 10-mans will be toned down, obviously, but they are going to bring their own challenges. They are going to require even MORE coordination! Much like ZA, I'd imagine.
May 13th 2008 2:12PM Good on you, mate!
It's people like you and those of us who take the game for exactly what Blizzard has built it to be, that make this game great. There are so many different ways to play this game, and no one is "better" or more worthy than the other.
You don't instance. I can't stand 5-mans. Some people don't do anything but farm Ogres and they still have fun. And that's what it's about!
May 12th 2008 2:34PM Given that they now have a skeletal system in place to make bear mounts of any sort, I'll be HIGHLY disappointed if there is not some sort of armored polar bear mount in Wrath. D:
