There could be up to a million Chinese gold farmers {WoW}

May 6th 2009 9:21AM @miko.

"if it's 'just pixels' on a screen why are you spending money in the real world so you can sit on a '20K mount' ?" Same reason I would spend $15/mth and $99 for the game in the first place, fun, choice, waste, boardom.....who cares, its the individual's choice, not all players are 12 years old and not all gold sellers hack accounts.

", is somehow the same morally as the hacking of an innocent players " I have read my post twice now and still cant see a single spot where I even hint that hacking an account is legitament or ethical.

Let me speak baby for you - previous buy gold you upset my game experience (no mention of hacking) post...plenty player upset the game experience in lots of way (no mention of hacking).

Such a spiteful post Miko....medication wearing off?

May 6th 2009 12:17AM Lev;

Would not the use of an addon or any other software that is not standard out of the box be exactly like buying gold.

If had a priest with a healbot add on to increase my raid potential is that not akin someone buying gold to increase his professions leveling.

I dont know too many people that have an issue with addons

May 6th 2009 12:10AM LOL you guys are funny. Are you saying that I should not buy gold to care about other players feelings??

I play on a PVP server. "other players" have ganked my alts 40 levels below them and camped for what scew my game. I have had other alliance players "steal" nodes from underneath me while I was fighting a mob on top of it. I listen to trade chat non stop filled with "other players" crap about murlocs etc. All these things effect my gaming experience. WOW is full of people who AFK in BG's, sell spots on arena teams or pull an undergeared person into a reg raid to get them gear. All at the base of them are exactly like buying gold.

If I choose to buy gold and sit next to you on my 20K mount and that upsets you well, tough. I pay my 15 bucks just like many of the morons who share my server. They have as much right to fill trade channel as much as I have to buy gold, but there I am turning trade off time and time again.

Just remember guys its pixals on a screen, not RL.

May 5th 2009 11:39PM Please WOW really does not care outside of their business model.

A friend of mine got hacked while her husband was online in the middle of the night. 37 Guildies put in tickets, we spammed trade etc etc. We watched this person log in and out of her account in SW, they even had the audacity to dance with us and they stripped her account, we even followed who she traded with.

NO GM answered a single ticket in a 2 hours period. When she rang it was out of hours so NO support there. When she did get in they told her to "put a ticket in game". She was actually lost for words when told that - her account was hacked lol.

We saw ALL her mats etc on the AH for over 24hrs to a level11 toon. Which she reported to customer service. We added the thief to our friends list and watched them log in an out over several days collecting money.

In the end she lost alot and nearly stopped playing. Bliz response what litterally "its your fault" and basically tough S....

If it was not for the group of friends we play with WOW would have been a memory by now due to what really is pretty crap customer service and support.

Now before you tell me how many people play and how many people they have to support. We PAY money to play, their income (PROFIT) is from us, the customer. And you are right, I can choose not to play, I can also choose to buy gold.

Ready Check: Ulduar and Burnout {WoW}

Mar 29th 2009 11:16PM I started playing WOW when MC was "the thing" to get invited to, even strat was a big thing. Resist gear and the like where paramount, some raids needed a couple of guilds to form alliances to farm, adding further dynamics to the game.

Why can blizzard not just take all the old world and Outland raids and make them lvl80 optioned (level 80 deadmines or ZG ftw). If you do the fight to just see the instance run it normal. Alot of my guildies are running the raids like ZA 3 and 4 man just to do them with a challenge.

The mini bosses could drop badges and then the final boss could drop varied epic loot like ony does. Bags, gear, paterns, and rep items. That way 10/25/40 man raids wouldn't strip the instance so quickly either even if they farmed them daily.

I have heard this discussed many times in guild chat and vent and not one person has seen this as a negative. It would also provide a massive filler between the patches and give people a reason to actually go back to Azeroth.

Overall Blizz has done an amazing job, 10mil clients and most seem happy most of the time. Hats off and I hope they mix it up because predictability is going to be wow's biggest threat.

Insider Trader: Patch 3.1, profits and preparation {WoW}

Mar 14th 2009 7:10AM "Before you chime in with criticism, please at least have some minimal understanding of the argument at hand."
What? Do you mean much in the same way as someone raising an issue with the English language in a Gaming Forum?

Kinda have to agree with Aries. Might be time for you to look out the window and appreciate the sunshine for an hour or so. We are not saving babies here.

UPDATED: Bag of candies working as intended {WoW}

Feb 13th 2009 7:40PM LOL after opening about 50 to 60 Gifts of Ad, I have got every achievement except " be mine".

I have looted two baskets, A black dress and since the patch only one bag of candies. Thanks for upping the rate bliz, considering that the pets and dress where removed from the main achievement as they are a rare drop.

3 more candies to go....sooooo close.

Quick question, will my achievements be reset next year if i don't get anymore candy?

Hunter Growl and Scare Beast changes not so sweet after all {WoW}

May 14th 2008 7:44AM So I go into a BG go use my scare beast and i get a message saying - ha ha it aint april 1 but we thought we would get you anyhow.

So i decide ok, blizz have decided that rather than give Huntards instant cast , they would stop the ability of Druids to carry flags while shape shifting. NOPE.. so i think ok then they will change the cast time of Cyclone to a 3 second cast....not there either..... i think bliz are trying to make druids the new locks in PVP.

I would say it was a funny joke if it wasnt so gutless on Blizz's part , did they get all the Arena Druids theatening their little "e-sport" asperations?

I have BG'd today and druids are already getting around this easy, shift out-cyclone, stun (or whatever it is DB's use). What happened bliz??? This is a serious question as it must have been a last second panic attack as even the icon has says its an instant cast.

Macro for a prettier WoW {WoW}

Apr 25th 2008 1:29AM I think monitors are capped at 60fps because that is all the human eye can see - so there is no advantage too chew up power to obtain a faster one.

Not claiming to be 100% correct. I tried this macro and found it looked alot better fps went from 60fps to 28-38fps.

A year with no new 25-man content {WoW}

Jan 24th 2008 6:13PM How about blizzard just allow the old world instances like AQ and MC get upgraded to heroic's. This would really be a matter of updating loots and HP's on mobs. All the textures are there. Imagine running stocks, BRD or Scholo on heroic. It would also get some of the players back into Azeroth. This i would think (not being a programmer) would be a dam fast way to offer alot of new challenges and also put some of the resist gear back in the mix. Remember the days you couldnt get a MC run without a certain amount of fire resist gear.

Just a thought.
