Choose My Adventure Live: Time to PvP again {WoW}

Mar 1st 2011 3:01AM Thank you, Robin! You got me back to playing WoW. I even made a brand new goblin mage alt on Zangarmarsh (level 6 right now), and I joined the Blog guild. Woo hoo! Also, I'm be transferring one of my many druids there to be my main (he's only level 82 though and with all the nerfing... he's not as much fun to play.)

Watching you really got me interested in playing again. I was so disappointed with all the nerfs to my favorite class (druid) that I basically leveled my very first toon (druid, of course) to 85 and slowly stopped playing.

Again, thank you. I found the "Choose My Adventure" articles by a happy accident, and I haven't looked back.

Patch 4.0.6 hotfixes for Feb. 18 {WoW}

Feb 19th 2011 4:04PM There should be a way for Blizzard to penalize people who have been Vote Kicked too many times. Where it is easier to Vote Kick the inept/rude person since they've been Vote Kicked many times before. Basically, using a pattern of behavior model.

Patch 4.0.6 patch notes update for Jan. 14 {WoW}

Jan 15th 2011 2:46AM The loss of being able to remove a root in PvE as a Balance Druid is the second to last straw (along with the convoluted Eclipse/Mastery changes - having to now re-gem and re-enchant for Mastery versus Crit - and possible loss of immunity to polymorph - or did Blizzard enable this nerf already) that I actually stopped playing my Druid(s) and started to level my DK and Pally instead. Right now, being a Balance Druid is so out of balance that it doesn't feel fun to me anymore. It bothers me that PvP mechanic balancing affects PvE so much when I don't PvP.

WoW Moviewatch: Cellophane: A Rogue Story {WoW}

Dec 27th 2010 1:10PM Wow! Excellent fit for a great song.

Shifting Perspectives: The unbearable suckhood of pugging {WoW}

Dec 23rd 2010 12:27PM I like that there's a gear cap to get into heroics at 329. However, I still don't think it's high enough. The non-heroic Cata instances have a totally different strategy than WotLK (CC?, we don't need CC - hello corpse run!). I feel Cata instances are more akin to the last couple of Heroic instances in WotLK. PoS (kiting as an example - hello tank... uh, move from the green stuff or in the tunnel - no one DPS until we get to the middle safe spot or you'll die). Or interrupts to stop the change into a mammoth of "the boss I can never remember" for the achievement. Or some BElfs who don't realize that they have a spell racial that will silence spellcasters (most will just say that they don't see it in their spell book or that they're melee so it doesn't matter).

I'm just a regular player who played a little ICC in my small guild and was working on improving on my Druid (gave up Tree after they cut me down for particle board, but that's another story) who was dual-spec'd DPS Boomchicken (funnily, I wouldn't mind losing THAT form but would seriously miss the polymorph safety I have but am pretty sure that the other perks of being in form would get redressed the same as what Blizz has done to Resto (whoa, was going to say Tree - sad panda.) I'm trading in my Boomchicken (and sad loss of my Tree) back to feral (which is how I quest) and try to run as feral in instances.

Shifting Perspectives: Hit Rating, Expertise and Defense skill for PvE {WoW}

Jan 29th 2008 2:48PM Wow, that was too much math, but this has to be the most informative article I've read on Feral Druids on WowInsider. And the best part, for having not done well in math, is that I actually understand what all the numbers mean now. Thank you!
