Nov 3rd 2008 8:09PM I thought it WAS extended maint when it starts at 3am instead of 5?
Oct 19th 2008 9:56PM I had to do a system search for the files in the screenshot because I had no idea where the background downloader had put them, didn't remember if I deleted them from the desktop or something.
Turns out I hadn't, it stuck them here (I use Vista):
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Updates
Oct 14th 2008 5:07AM I'm assuming DrDamage won't work with the new talents and everything?
If so are there any alternatives for me to look for?
Sep 30th 2008 9:15AM Too lazy to find the post, but Blue recently said they do read all feedback submitted via ingame, and actually prefer it because the forums are so cluttered with other stuff.
Sep 26th 2008 2:04AM I'd really like a Blue comment about plans for these knockback mechanics and cliffs. I keep expecting them to code in "invisible walls" in the future to prevent one-hit-kills from the spells that have knockback, especially Thunderstorm. You know like Fear etc has so you don't run off cliffs. Just seems like something they'd do. :(
Sep 5th 2008 1:48AM Sadly I expect them to implement the "invisible wall" that prevents fear etc from making you run off cliffs. Oh how I wish Blizzard were so stupid that they'd give a class a spell that basically lets you insta kill a large group of people (talking about PCs, but probably NPCs too) with one button.
Aug 13th 2008 6:33AM As a mage, if those "stupid" people stopped attacking my ice for a second, I'd break it early and blink the hell away, nova+barrier and there's a chance I'll live.
It's the ones who waste mana or combo points who are a bit dim, but I think they want to get lucky and kill you the second your ice drops to beat everyone else to the KB.
Aug 12th 2008 12:34PM So how does this work exactly?
I refer myself, make a trial account with that referral, will the x3 XP apply when it's still a trial, and what limitations are there on the current trial accounts? (max level etc)
How much will it cost to upgrade the new account?
Aug 12th 2008 12:25PM My god, some scary facts there, but good to hear first hand details. Sadly this is sounding more and more like something I'll end up doing myself.
Aug 12th 2008 12:21PM Except for quest reward XP of course, which is the huge boost they'll be getting. I mean TONS of people are going to be buying a second account just so they can get a whopping 32,850 XP for all the Stranglethorn page turn ins...
And I think I'll be one of them, god damnit.
