Nov 6th 2008 10:13AM GroupCalendar syncing is a giant pain in the neck. Both of them suffer from not letting you set the number of healer/dps/tank spots too, a major shortcoming for raiding guilds.
The blizz one at least lets you log on from your browser. It's for that reason that most guilds I've been in used a browser-based solution like RaidNinja.
Jul 18th 2008 9:26AM Are you kidding? EVERY talent tree has one or two new talents that reduce mana pressure in some creative way. How are you still concerned about mana issues? Maybe the talents won't go far enough, but between them and the free aspect switching I think it will for sure.
May 26th 2008 9:20AM Any idea how he's getting the list of raid members to appear in the AV screenshot? That's a very neat way of doing things that I'd like to replicate.
May 10th 2008 5:48AM Thank you very much for expressing the feelings of us raiders here. I'm pretty tired of being called elitist so it's nice someone did a well thought out article that lays it out precisely.
I don't want to exclusive "casual" players from experiencing as much of the game as possible, my concern is just the same as yours that there will now be so little incentive to DO the 25 man raids, making recruitment harder.
May 9th 2008 12:16PM Mostly good changes, but I'm not happy about the 10/25 man thing either.
This isn't about "elite guilds parading around Shatt in their T6", it's about something else. A sense that, once you walk into BT, you earned these sights, instead of walking in having done it in 10 man already.
Suddenly the only incentive to do 25 man raids is better loot and a bit of kudos, and frankly that's poor. It's like we now just get heroic raids with better loot, instead of a final few raid tiers that were hard earned by groups of 25 from the start.
Feb 27th 2008 7:24AM How absurd. Mister Nihilum is complaining because he doesn't feel as leet - it's that simple. Oh no, no more atunement! Oh no, free epix! What, no pride in seeing these places before anyone else? No realisation that getting badges through heroics is a really inefficient grind (and pointless if you're just using those epics in heroics anyway)? Even the arena welfare epics argument amuses me - I play a LOT of WoW, mostly raiding, and just don't have the time on top of that to do arena, fun though it is. And that's the point - this is about giving people options to pick their path and still have fun rather than feeling stuck in a rut because someone on another path has it better when it comes to getting gear.
Feb 18th 2008 9:18PM Certainly a lot of badges, but remember that (unless I'm mistaken) SSC and TK will also drop them now. Any raider will have enough in no time. Great idea to fill any gaps from unlucky drops.
