Nov 2nd 2008 9:30PM Wrong order. The language isn't named after the city - the city is named after the language. Night elves have always spoken 'Darnassian' or 'Darnassae', depending on how you wish to call it. Once Teldrassil was complete, they named the new capital 'Darnassus'.
Presumably this is due to whatever 'Darnassus' and 'Darnassian' *mean*, but as far as I know, we don't know what it translates to.
Oct 5th 2008 8:45PM All Draenei are not benevolent and kind. The necromancers in Auchindoun, for example. The members of the Wyrmcult in Blade's Edge.
Nor, I'm believe, are they immortal. I don't recall any lore calling them that, for one. Velen has obviously reached a very old age, something that wouldn't happen if a race was immortal. And in the starting area, one Draenei mentions they have been fleeing the Legion for 'ten lifetimes'. That would make the Draenei lifespan about 2,500 years, since they've been fleeing for 25,000 years.
It's shown in the quests on Bloodmyst that Exodar had 'cryo-capsules', and in the books Velen remarks that they've only been staying on each world a short time before the Legion finds them. Draenor was unusual, because the Naaru couldn't move the ship anymore. Most likely, all the Draenei have spent the majority of the 25,000 years in stasis, unaging and unconscious.
And their culture couldn't have been that enlightened, since only a few hundred of their entire race rejected Sargeras, or advanced, if they required the Naaru to even leave the planet.
Sep 26th 2008 12:54AM It's pretty obvious why everyone in-game calls the Lich King 'Arthas'. For starters, most non-orcs don't even know who Ner'zhul is. He never even came into Azeroth. And as far as I know, not even the orcs know that Ner'zhul the shaman was turned into the Lich King. Kil'jaeden did that on the sly.
As far as the general populace is concerned, this 'Lich King' dude appeared with an army, the Prince defected, and now the Prince is the Lich King. Subtleties about merging and Ner'zhul would be completely unknown to... well. Anyone except Arthas and his followers.
Sep 10th 2008 4:27PM :::If you consider Glyphs to be as important as Gems, with far fewer slots, would you really want to use a Glyph slot for a simple color change?:::
Except.... that the three 'minor glyph' slots will be ONLY cosmetic stuff. You can't put fancy stat/ability boosting glyphs in there. You get three slots for only simple changes that do nothing but make your stuff look prettier.
Feb 4th 2008 10:33AM Stealth definitely take the cake. I've tried levelings alts, but I always find myself missing my rogue and the ability to stealth through a horde of enemies, take out the quest objective, and stealth back instead of spending a half-hour clearing it.
Feb 1st 2008 2:01AM Outland is essentially a floating island in the Twisting Nether. It's clearly not an actual planet anymore, which is why you can see a bunch of different planets, moons, stars, and whatnot from different places. The whole thing is completely chaotic.
