Aug 12th 2008 7:48AM Just to point out, all the issues with skipping content / not knowing how to play.
For every two levels the new account gains, it can donate one level back to its parent account. So infact people arnt skipping content or going to be clue less.
Long term players who bring a friend to the game (and probably help them level to 60) get to bring an alt up to the same level as their new recruit.
I dont really see the issue here?
Im hoping to bring a bunch of friends to the game, use my main to get them started then they can gift me some levels and we can play though outlands togeither, oh noes!
Feb 15th 2008 8:17AM You should be able to get things restored but it will take a while.I'm not so sure about the transfer, I don't see why not given thecircumstances. (im curious was it a pay transfer or a free one?)
A friend of mine got their account hacked recently luckily theydidn't loose much as someone noticed their character being logged in, but it did take between 2-3 weeks (approx) before blizzard returned access to the account.
I would say someone commented previously about Blizzard having real issues with restoring characters who have been transfered with the correct gear (using old backups resulting in missing items etc.)
Good luck and keep us updated :)
Feb 9th 2008 8:53AM I'd love some kind of vanity gear system maybe let players use gear they have already acquired.
For example: can dress up in the old dungeon sets but gain the bonus from your existing gear.
In which case players can dress up / show off their achievements without feeling gimped. Teir sets / Rare quest items etc.
This means players still have to work for the looks that they want instead of just buying a bunch of nice looking gear to cover up their green auction house gear. Might mean players would actually revisit old content so they could look more unique.
Feb 4th 2008 3:38PM "Some PvP rewards now obtainable through PvE content"
I think the level 70 blue gear is coming back in as reputation rewards from various factions. Should give people more of a start in pvp when they hit 70.
Assuming you didnt grind a full epic pvp set on the way ^^;
