Mists of Pandaria FAQ {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 7:55AM Why does it appear that Horde are seen by the Pandaren lore as being rash, hot-headed "ends justify the means" types and Alliance is the kindler, gentler, contemplative more "moral" side? I give you Thrall and Arthas... need I say more?

Breakfast Topic: Will your pandaren fit into your character naming convention? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 7:35AM I started a toon on a friend's server and called her Ggirl as a joke for the nicknames we have for each other (I'm gorgeous girl and he's beautiful boy, and we're both too lazy to type all of that!), so it was just coincidence that it was also a gnome. But then my friends went back to their Horde toons, so I decided to go with the theme and made a Dgirl (for Dead Girl) hunter and a troll druid named Tgirl. So my panda will be called Pgirl.

On my main server, my first toon was Moomoolan, so I'm going with a girl Bambooloolan Horde side, and a boy Sadkoala Alli side (Sadpanda was already taken, I'm Australian, and you'd have to be sad playing a smelli ol' alli wouldn't you!... just teasing)

Mists of Pandaria: Achievements preview {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 4:02PM I'm a bit worried about achievements and other things becoming account wide. What will be the use of having alt's if they're just going to become clones of your main, and what is the point of playing them if they then have nothing to achieve?

The OverAchiever: Guide to Lunar Festival 2012 achievements {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 9:41PM I don't know about Horde bias... Astranaar has constantly spawning lvl ?? (to a 65) elite sentinels right next to the Elder. Even with a lvl 85 Hordie right there fighting the first, everytime I landed another one spawned and killed me before going to fight the higher Hordie.

Oct 19th 2011 2:19AM I think the cow is riding a broomstick? I agree that he might also be happy to see you though!

Shifting Perspectives: On the matter of Moonkin Form {WoW}

Aug 30th 2011 8:40AM I have a worgen cat druid and a cow boomkin, and every time I think maybe my cow should go kitty as well, I do his happy boomkin dance and just know he will stay boomkin forever! Really, it's probably why I have two druids! (And the old treant looks much better than the new broccoli too - bring back perma-tree!)

WoW Archivist: Patch 1.10, Storms of Azeroth {WoW}

Aug 30th 2011 8:18AM I always think of 1.10 as being "the priest patch" since they were the only ones to have their talents changed so much the trees were refunded. However, the reason I'm writing is this: whether it was a deliberate ploy by Blizz to try and make us renew some bag-space, or just an unforseen bug (more likely) caused by it, this was the patch that caused all my previously saved (yes, I'm very sentimental) letters to not be able to be opened and read any more, and the joke of a GM that I ticketed about it just said they must have an expiry date, even though they were all of differing dates and it happened to all of them at exactly the same time (ie, the patch), and he wouldn't even try to get a restore for me. Curiously, it has happened again post a more recent patch, and all the letters I had saved post-patch 1.10 were restored by a much more dedicated, better-trained, and very much appreciated GM.

So, even though patch 1.10 wrought other excellent implementations (as noted above), this is sadly what I remember it most for... the loss of treasured memories.

Breakfast Topic: What will you do after WoW? {WoW}

Jul 12th 2011 4:59AM While I was waiting for that big WoW LAN party in the sky to start, I would revert to total reclusiveness and go back to trying to make a pollutionless SimCity, various Harvest Moons (with which I renewed my love affair recently due to a temporary loss of internet... bloody Telstra) and Final Fantasy VII (unfinished after a burglary years ago... you would think they could at least have left the memory card).

Patch 4.2: The keyring is gone. Gozer is saddened. {WoW}

Jun 4th 2011 9:07AM It's not "old content" if you're a new player, or do you think the player base has stagnated to the point of all "new" toons just being alt's? Personally, I think new players are being short-changed these days with the reduction in the epic feel of WoW... no story-rich class or mount quest chains anymore... Sunken Temple is more Shrunken Temple now than the rite of passage it used to be, the Scholo key quest-chain was a great explore once upon a time, and that royal "booting" you got from the NE girlie in Azshara all the way to EPL was just awesome (and a little bit pants-wetting) before it became just a teleport /sigh.

I do like the suggestion that attunements and keys become another tab on the professions/mounts/companions page... I've really been enjoying getting those rep's on my lvl 70's rogue and druid for the Outland H keys and hope that you still at least have to get to Honoured with those factions to enter those H's with the patch changes. Come on, just to Honoured really only involves doing the zone quests and maybe a couple of dungeons. If you're that cranky about the "time-sink" why are you bothering to play a game you're obviously not really enjoying to immerse yourselves in any more? And if you just want to get to "end-game" yet again, levelling is so fast now that you can just sit in one of the capitals complaining between lfg dungeon runs for hardly any time at all before you're 85.
