What every brand new WoW player should know {WoW}

Mar 20th 2012 11:01AM I always play fully scrolled in, unless its a raid or heroic where I really need to be aware of everything in the area..

I actually hate being scrolled out as my toon is very small, seems to move as if in slow motion..

Ghostcrawler talks game systems in final Cataclysm post-mortem {WoW}

Mar 8th 2012 12:09AM I so hated that smug son-of-archeologist, Harrison Jones...

"Hey kid, meet me inside this temple" ..

Mar 7th 2012 11:24PM Please forgive me if I am asking a stupid question;

With all of this HIT and EXPERTISE, etc changing, what does this this mean for the 1-80 leveling (outside of the panda area)?

Most 1-80 gear has little HIT and even less EXPERTISE, and certainly not both together for the new stat configuration. So we will be missing a LOT until we are 80 and get updated gear (or roll a panda)? Or is Blizzard going to update all of the gear to reflect their new philosophy?

Mar 1st 2012 3:40PM If they really want to get back to "Orcs vs Humans" they need to give us the required emotes :

"At your service"

"Job's done!"

Dave Kosak talks quest design in Cataclysm {WoW}

Feb 29th 2012 10:05AM I hate all the vehicle quests.. So when I got to the jousting cave, I dreaded it with a passion. (during Wrath, I failed the various vehicle quests over and over and over and teh buggy ones certainly didn't help either).

I only had a little trouble with the flying joust at first.. So eventually I ran several alts thru there for the pet reward. While I'm not saying I "loved" it, I think blizzard finally created a vehicle quest you actually could grasp on the fly, at least enough to get it done and move on.

The Queue: I'm on the bus {WoW}

Feb 25th 2012 7:41PM In the Ukraine they have many mini-bus vehicles going everywhere. Add to that a few electric power trolleys, the rare methane powered bus, regular buses, taxies, etc. Most going for less than a dollar for a 1-way trip.

(trying to post this reply yet again - the system this website uses for message verification is by far the worst I have ever encountered. I often find myself posting multiple times before the website actually sends me a link to click on.)

The Queue: I'm on the bus {WoW}

Feb 25th 2012 3:31PM Try living in any big city in the Ukraine. There is so much mass transportation that a lot of people never own an automobile in their entire lifetime.

Being from a medium-sized city in the northwestern United States, our transportation there was pretty backwards in comparison.

The Queue: Yaks are cool, I guess {WoW}

Feb 22nd 2012 4:00PM "The reason why you have to click on a corpse to loot it is to make it harder for the botters to farm gold. This way they can not set up an easy macro that would just autoatack lower level mobs and walk away from the computer for hours on end."

I do not see how this is so. Bots are working just fine as it is. (I watched a bot farm savage leather in Hyjal until it's bags were full; then it would keep killing mobs but could no longer loot them).

I played on a system once where the sysop would surprise open a chat window with you to say hello (and check to see if you were a bot). It's too bad Blizzard can't do something like that but I realize the time/people/resources involved with a system like that are completely impractical.

Shifting Perspectives: Are druid abilities getting a trim in Mists of Pandaria? {WoW}

Feb 10th 2012 10:53PM Yes, those lovely Infinite Suppressors... Because of the lackluster CC abilities between all the classes, you can thru RNG of the dungeon finder, come into groups with no true ability to CC those dragons.

Although you can be lucky and down the first 4, the 2nd 4 I have seen wipe the group 100% of the time. (the tank goes down fast and then the rest).

I was on a demo warlock and I tried using my succubus with very poor results. Once I went into a group and we had druid heals and I was thanking God for him because hibernate is such a great CC in that area.

My point is, the author seems not to like the hibernate ability but if Blizzard is going to keep making CC so crucial, then we NEED it to remain. Removing it will just create MORE wipes.
