Jun 27th 2008 11:19AM No one has mentioned that you can see the ridges on the face guards and also the hand holding the sword. I would bet money that this is an Arthas picture and the other glyphs/runes are tributes to the games.

May 6th 2008 5:42PM I think the overall problem is that the only pvp that really happens anymore is in the BGs and Arenas. At least on Cho'gall world pvp is just about dead and we are a pvp server. I was excited when I first rolled for world pvp, but now I just go queue for a BG and patiently sit by an alliance dude until my BG is ready to go. This problem is illustrated very well here...

Officers' Quarters: Casual raiding that works {WoW}

Apr 7th 2008 2:23PM Since the topic is casual raiding I thought I would mention what Horde side of Cho'gall has going for it. I am part of a small guild, we farm Kara once a week but spend most of our guild time in pvp. There are a few of us that want to experience 25-man content because we are new so we joined up with a raiding "group". We schedule raids a couple of times a week, right now we are farming Gruul and Mag and loot is if you are there, you can roll on it. The only drama is when the wrong person is given an item and they have to ticket it to the right person.

We've got experienced raid leaders, but this has served as a great way to get into the larger content without sacrificing any guild connections you currently have. Yeah, we aren't into the big instances yet having wiped on VR and putting that on hold for a few weeks, but we will get there.

Not sure if putting links is appropriate in these comments, but I'll direct anyone that cares over to the Cho'gall forums to take a gander, we are called Independence.

Mar 26th 2008 4:02PM I will have to say that the change to the AV map, while not changing a whole heck of a lot, does make it easier for Allies to get to IB without defense set. I've only been able to play in one AV since it started, and as defense we were able to get to IB gap (as horde) and sit around for 15-30 secs before the allies made it to Galv. However, I must say that I don't quite understand the change given that on most battlegroups, Alliance was dominating the AV games, this just made that easier.

Mar 25th 2008 3:05PM I love replying to my own post. One thing that I neglected to point out is that for my own EP values, the Tunic was an upgrade. You are right in that the mail items are better itemized this time around. The point about not having tunnel vision for mail items still stands, though.

Mar 25th 2008 11:31AM I noticed that you only brought up the mail items. Since enhance shaman are dedicated to melee DPS, the armor on mail is largely irrelevant. Which means that many of the leather items could be seen as better. For example, the Tunic of the Dark Hour would provide a bigger DPS boost than the Scaled Drakeskin Chestguard you listed (of course the chestguard is still a great item). I just wanted to be sure that we don't perpetuate the myth that enhance shamans have to wear mail.

Feb 13th 2008 6:22PM I have to agree that the timeframe for some of these progressions seems short. I hope that they have just been made short to help in testing and that when it goes live the durations are stretched out. It would be interesting to know what the population of the PTR is now so we could translate the speed of the progression to our servers.
