May 4th 2010 11:15AM The only MMO that I successfully gave a second chance to was WAR. Between the horrible press at lauch (those last minute city/class removals were a death sentence) and the inital lag problems, I didn't last a week the first time out. I went back just for something to pass the time this past x-mas. After linking up with a good guild, I found myself hooked.
I did give CoX two short attempts but can't get into it. I also wasted years in WoW as as well, but it was soley the RL friends that kept me in that long.
Sep 18th 2009 9:21AM Politically motivated? ROFL! VB's article reads like some sort of wacked out 911 conspiracy theory.
Working in the real world I can tell Government departments move at their own pace. You can't rush the bureaucacy... regardless of which country it is located in it seems. ActiZard knew they had to go through the censors again when the switched operators. If their marketing group under- guesstimated the time it would take, that is on them. It's not like they are going to be put in Chapter 11 from the delay.
Cripes, next people will be demanding a US Department of WoW.
Jul 9th 2009 8:25AM Would it not be-counterproductive to Blizzard's recent attempts to making levelling faster to add a an artificial play time constraint?
A better question would be if this was really worth my time answering?
Jul 3rd 2009 8:26AM I WANT IT NOW!
Jun 19th 2009 4:21PM Has anyone considered?...
5n drops T9 Hand
10n drops T9 Leg
25n drops T9 Chest
10h drops T9 Head
25h drops T9 Shoulders
I personally would dislike this idea, but the five seperate "types" does lend itself to this set-up.
Mar 5th 2009 5:02PM "...same shit, different pile"
Nice to know there are still some racist bigots in the world. Was getting a bit worried there for a second.
Feb 6th 2009 11:00AM I find myself falling on the side on that believes the "dumbing down" pendulum has swung too far. WoW is becoming less of an immersive past time and more of an arcade game with each passing patch in the last year. This game was never tough to begin with, and now they seem to want to make it idiot-proof.
Healing is one of the few challenges left. But with elimination of down-ranking and now oo5sr dancing, it seems any player innovation is doomed to be nerfed until all that healing will become is hitting is repeatedly hitting the button for your one aoe smart heal when the CD is up until you run out of mana.
At least they are revamping the mana regen mechanics again for the umpteenth time. /facepalm
Jan 20th 2009 6:38PM Greensight Goggles, an Eng BoP, is worth a mention I'd think after the Battlemap Hide nerf today.
Nov 21st 2008 8:50AM I'm only up to 72 and in no big rush either. Levelling as a resto spec. druid for the fun of it, learning lore, and fishing whenever I feel like it.
In fact, I actually even stopped questing in Northrend last night to level my mining back on Azeroth for a few hours (a profession switch I took on 1 week before the expansion dropped. Silly me).
L80 content is not a limited time offer. I'll go back to healbotting raids eventually, but for now I am enjoying my vacation.
Oct 14th 2008 11:42AM I agree. Naturalist seems a better option over the Shapeshifters for a bear build IMHO. That's an actual 10% physical buff vs. 4% with some mana conservation.
My only concern right now is whether Intentsity is worth considering in conjunction with King of the Jungle (and adding Enrage to a rotation). OOC's new version seems nigh on useless to me in a bear build.
For "required" resto talents, I only see 13 atm.
But it's early days yet.
