Drama Mamas: Sexist jerk or personality conflict? {WoW}

Apr 15th 2011 3:49PM THIS. There is absolutely NO reason to put up with behaviour like that. And if the officers and guild leader accept and/or encourage his behaviour that guild woule be my ex-guild. Life is too short to put up with sexist jerks.

All the World's a Stage: How to keep your realm's roleplaying alive {WoW}

Mar 14th 2011 5:46AM The plural of anecdote isn't anecdata. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.

Mar 11th 2011 12:14AM I love you. Here, have a whole truckload of selfmade, imaginary cookies.

The Queue: Homosexual characters in WoW {WoW}

Mar 10th 2011 1:09PM I wish there was some switch in the character pane where you could choose either revealing or practical armor style. For BOTH sexes.

Breakfast Topic: Do you play other games besides WoW? {WoW}

Mar 7th 2011 1:40PM Definitely NOT Rift. The beta was enough to keep me from even considering playing a free trial after launch (if there were one). The lore is only meh, I missed WoW's humour and in-jokes, but most of all, the questing was terrible. At the end of level 23 I was glad that I had to never touch that toon ever again.

If I want to step outside of Azeroth, I go back to my first ever MMo, Guild Wars - I still have the discs and my old account, and it is free to play on their servers. I am also looking forward to Guild Wars 2. I never leave for more than a handful of days, though, because I would let a whole bunch of roleplaying-buddies down if I did.

World of WarCrafts: Guide to fan fiction {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2011 11:56PM Whoa, holy flashback, Batman... *grins*

Have been a co-mod of a fanfic board which was extremely funny, depressing, hilarous, making me frothing-at-the-mouth-mad... in short it was quite the experience. I had to quit when I started university, though, because a hobby like being a mod for even a small group of authors tends to swallow up a good part of your life.

But it was so much fuuuuun!

*wanders away to check if the board still exists*

RIFT launch-day roundup {Massively}

Mar 2nd 2011 6:11AM @(Unverified)

I DO have a thick skin, earned during several years of moderating a fanfic community (yeah, go and laugh... ). I even surved Barrens Chat on Frostwolf EU for more than half a year before fleeing in terror.
The RIFT beta people, though, managed to get under this thick skin which I consider quite a feat. I am not a crybaby, but these people turned me off giving the game a chance. Maybe I'll try again in a year or so, if Guild Wars 2 hasn't managed to lure me in.

RIFT launch-day roundup {Massively}

Mar 1st 2011 10:34PM I won't buy RIFT. Not because I dislike the game itself. It is a pretty run-of-the-mill fantasy MMO. What really turned me off during the beta was the community. I don't want to elaborate in comments. If you are interested in what I have experienced, you can go and read in my blog (http://www.in-character.de)

Add-ons are more than Recount. I love add-ons that let me create a user-interface that suits my own preferrences, I love rp add-ons. Don't go and bash ALL add-ons because you don't like one single add-on out of a pool of hundreds
