Oct 20th 2010 2:54PM "The most common choices here are Glyph of Chain Heal, Glyph of Totemic Recall and Glyph of Healing Stream Totem"
Since we don't have mana issues at this level, isn't Glyph of Healing Wave a better choice? I've been healing heroics (not raids yet) and Healing Wave feels very cheap to cast. On most fights, you can keep the tank topped off, while you're still at full mana. If you get hit, you almost don't have to worry about healing yourself and you can concentrate on the rest of the group. Just throw Healing Waves at the tank and let the heals overflow =)
May 25th 2010 6:32PM That may work for druids or priests. Shamans are turrets and, since you can't move while casting (except with riptide), you can take the time to select your next target while you are casting a heal. I like it that way. I have the weird idea that you can cast the spell on the wrong person if you just "mouseover".
Sep 9th 2009 3:43PM "May the Light Have Mercy...For I Will Not.", Arthas while doing the Culling of Stratholme. This one is a quote from General George S. Patton: "May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't."
May 5th 2009 9:10PM Well, I have a Scarab Brooch (same spell effect) on my resto shammy and it's totally awesome. I can use it to heal a tank OR I can chain heal the raid and put small shields on my targets. I can chain heal for 16k (using riptide and without crits) up to 20k PER heal. That's between 2.4k and 3k worthy of shields.
Mar 13th 2009 1:48PM It's not the cast time, but the cooldown. Yes, it does hit us when we're fighting trash... or maybe not. I tried the damn thing on the PTR and all the mobs around me were entrampled with entangling roots (looks like the druid spell). It's an AoE entangling roots! A frost nova for elemental shammies!
You can start with Chain Lightning, cast a couple of spells, Thunderstorm, more spells, Earthbind, Insta Ghost Wolf to get some distance , another Chain lightning...
Mar 13th 2009 1:35PM You have never been on a raid, huh?
Mar 13th 2009 1:30PM What about mana tide? Besides, if you have a pally in your group, use healing stream. I don't know about you but for me is another totem I don't need to drop in the middle of a fight.
