Oct 23rd 2008 1:46PM So, I tried to cleanse myself last night to no avail. I tried to cleanse NPCs (flight masters who people really need to get around and finish the Halloween event going on now) to no avail.
Did this get changed? Or can I just not cleanse myself or NPCS but just other players? Seems capricious.
I want to be able to play the game I pay for. I want to be able to go trick or treating and not spend a half-hour flaying back and forth to a capital city just so I don't get turned into a zombie. I want to be able to use the flight paths and maybe even complete some quests, which I can't do because the NPCs are all turning into zombies.
I can see the fun in the zombie apocalypse. But you know what? I pay my money for this game too and expect to be able to play it and do the things I want to do.
This event ruined the fun for me last night.
Feb 19th 2008 5:09PM The upshot of this seems to be: "Haste is a nice idea, but it doesn't really work in practice as you end up doing less healing over the course of a boss fight."
Am I missing something? Is there a moment in BT when my 1.3 second FoL or 1.8 second HL (with Light's Grace running) are going to make or break the fight? Otherwise, I think I'll stick with my crit, heal, MP5 gear.
Feb 18th 2008 2:34PM The chart is misleading as it relies solely on subscriptions. Yes, WoW is the 800-pound gorilla of MMOs, but Runescape has a good showing and I'm sure has at least as many people playing without subscriptions as those who have plunked down money to get more content.
And Guild Wars, the number two MMO on the market right now doesn't even show up on the chart because it is a non-subscription-based game.
Usage Data would be a better indicator, but good luck getting that out of Blizzard or any other MMO game company.
