Feb 8th 2012 8:02PM I'm happy to add the note that the Last Relic can be used as a pseudo-bubble hearth if you guys want, but it wasn't in the article in the first place for the very simple reason that I didn't know! That, and how each of these options individually affects different classes or specs is far beyond the scope of an article written for general audiences. I tried to keep most discussion centered on options available to everyone while relying on players to recognize that their individual circumstances will necessarily differ, even if in minute ways. It's extremely difficult to comment on every possible travel-related permutation in the game without writing a 10,000-word tract.

Kuro, if what you're referencing is an article I wrote concerning ICC gear lists and armor penetration leather, that had less to do with retribution paladins and a lot more to do with the design problem of almost every physical DPS in a raid being forced to roll on arpen leather as their best-in-slot. It can be argued (and I did argue this, though IIRC it was in a later piece) that Blizzard's over-allocation of +hit on DPS plate was an equally serious problem in tier 10, because that was a pretty ugly deal for retadins, arms warriors, and 2H death knights who just didn't need all that much of it compared to fury warriors.

Blizzard finally dumped the arpen stat heading into Cataclysm for just these reasons.

1. What's your gear like?

2. Could this actually be the result of other healers slacking rather than you? (Certainly possible through LFR.)

3. Do you have Wild Growth glyphed?

4. What's your mana like during the average heroic 5-man right now?

5. Where do you typically end a fight at mana-wise?

Jan 31st 2012 6:07PM Glad to hear it. :) I really enjoy writing lore posts, although I will probably wind up expanding this one a bit. Both of my night elf outings are the skinniest (by far) of the druidic lore posts, possibly because there's just something about the race that I can't get to click with me.

Jan 25th 2012 2:47PM 1. Nah, it's just a little joke at our own expense. One of the most popular criticisms of individual writers here on the site is that they're "the worst thing ever to happen to WoW Insider," so it's just a running gag with the staffers now.

2. After seeing how many people liked it, I'd love to turn this into a series, although I'm not sure how common they'll be -- you're right that it takes a while to compile all the little facts. But I liked writing it, so we'll see!
