Legendary Weapons: Drops vs. questing {WoW}

Jun 6th 2008 7:09PM http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=4272228429&sid=1

Make it 100% drop rate for the 2nd binding after you have the 1st.
The Ragnaros quest item is 100% if you are on the quest, and the sword is mostly useless these days (and more so at level 80) so why not?
Would it really hurt anyone? No.

Hybrid Theory: Is it too much? {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 7:57PM "(example: Improved Fairie Fire, though nobody uses that because nobody needs a boomkin and everyone should be hit capped anyway)"

No.
3% hit means you can use different gear with more ArP or more crit, for example.
Higher DPS...

RP descriptions and you {WoW}

May 10th 2008 6:47PM In my experience on various RP servers, these mods & descriptions are mostly used to signal that you are "available" for naughty antics in some quiet corner of Stormwind.
Tsk tsk... ;)

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: To Gear A Fury {WoW}

May 9th 2008 12:20PM "No, you will die."

I disagree, if you put your shield on, activate shield wall and say over vent "XXX taking over" etc, then you can last a good 10 seconds which should be enough to take down most bosses.
You could even do this on Kaly/Brutallus in theory depending how awake your healers are - you underestimate how good shield wall is. Maybe you've only tried this in your leather so that's why you died? ;)

The Care and Feeding of Warriors: To Gear A Fury {WoW}

May 9th 2008 12:11PM "special attacks like Bloodlust and Whirlwind to be missed"

It's actually called Bloodthirst.

"You shouldn't be getting hit anyway."

Armor does affect certain AOE damage and sometimes you will get cleaved.
Also, what happens if you need to equip a shield and go def stance/shield wall to save the raid from a 1% wipe? Your leather gear won't help you that much then.
Or what if an offtank taking swipes such as on ZA and some BT bosses dies and somebody has to help out quickly?
You'll never see me wearing leather, especially as the agi > crit ratio is so bad on item points.

Guildwatch: Going too far {WoW}

May 7th 2008 12:26PM Isn't OTD that guild with the crap tauren DPS warrior?
I'm pretty sure I saw one of their WWS the other day on RnD and it was pretty bad.

WoW Moviewatch: Thrall's Crib {WoW}

I hope he makes this into a series, I want to see the Jaina one. :P

How misspelling might get you keylogged {WoW}

May 1st 2008 9:46AM "Happily no damage had been done -- nor do I think I was really at risk. Because of that convenience thing, I let my usernames be saved as often as possible so that the keylogger wouldn't have actually known to what username to link my newly stolen passwords."

Unfortunately keyloggers don't just log your keystrokes, some actually grab your internet browser traffic too (or anything transmitted over port 80 etc).
Passwords sent by your browser are not encrypted and are sent over the internet in plain text format, the only place they are encrypted is in the database of the website you are using.

What WoW should learn from certain quests in and around The Barrens {WoW}

Apr 29th 2008 10:17PM Hmm... I wonder if they could put in an entire zone with ZERO quests given by NPCs?
You just basically have to go out and explore to find your quests which only drop off mobs?

That would be really fun I think.
Imagine you find a quest item which is then part of a chain which requires you to find the next item.
For example, you find a bloodstained axe which if you click on it starts a quest. Then you have to discover the murder spot to find the next step.
