Officers' Quarters: Reforging loot systems {WoW}

Jun 7th 2010 4:05PM For my normal raid, we run a pretty tight and regular roster, so loot drama is at a minimum. /random 100 for main spec, /random 99 for offspec, pass if you don't want it. Tanks get two tier tokens first, and then everyone gets one after that until everyone has a tier token. We only have four people who use their offspecs for progression raiding; two ferals (both tank/melee dps) and two shamans (one resto/ele, one resto/enhance). Those four people can roll 100 for both specs. We're also asking people not to upgrade 264 to 277 items if people don't have the item in any variety.

This has been remarkably drama free.

For PUGs, I either go completely /roll based with no restrictions, or gdkp. Anyhing else is frustrating to everyone involved.

The Immortal clarifications by Bornakk {WoW}

Mar 6th 2009 7:51PM This would be true, if you didn't know exactly when KT was going to mind control. Have all of the DPS stop, and the tanks be ready to taunt. Not hard.

Breakfast Topic: What tabard do you wear? {WoW}

Aug 18th 2008 4:35PM Tabard of Flame with Sawbones Shirt matches druid T6 perfectly.

Breakfast Topic: Are you achieving? {WoW}

Aug 15th 2008 9:03AM Yeah, I've been having fun working on some of the weirder ones. A few nights ago we were farming AQ40 Trash for the red mount.. sadly, it didn't drop in the two hours we were farming. Tonight I'm getting together with some friends and grinding out Bloodsail reputation.

Breakfast Topic: Are you achieving? {WoW}

Aug 15th 2008 9:01AM So far, there are three or four titles, a tabard and a minipet. Much more will be revealed I'm sure.

Breakfast Topic: Direction for professions {WoW}

Aug 13th 2008 10:12AM Alchemists have Alchemist Stones, of which the healing one is the best trinket in the game. Also, our profession remains relevant until end-game, whereas anyone with Tailoring or Blacksmithing is basically sitting on a useless profession once they outgear the available recipes. Leatherworking is kept relevant only due Drums, which are being nerfed.

I'm happy to be an Alchemist, although I'll be dropping Herbalism on my main for Inscription.

Whirligig: the generation, jury rigging, and joys of the gyrocopter {WoW}

Feb 21st 2008 3:07PM I'm not ashamed to admit that I took up Engineering as a companion to Tailoring on my Warlock simply for the Goggles and the Gyrocopter.

Makes a decent buck selling guns and scopes though, so yay.
