What's happening in the Whispering Forest? {WoW}

Jul 20th 2011 10:41PM That area is what was once called Tirisfal Grove... not only is it the original landing area of the high elves, but it was also where Aegwynn defeated the avatar of Sargeras... It might also be the area that Malfurion Stormrage visited when he came to Lordaeron to commune with the forest there in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne... if that is the case then that ring of mushrooms might mark the spot where he was...

The Queue: Waking flames {WoW}

Jul 20th 2011 10:28PM All of the remaining Horde death knights on Azeroth (and most on Draenor) along with many of the surviving warlocks became Liches under Ner'zhul's control... it wasn't just human mages that became them...

Jun 10th 2011 5:18PM Gnomes? Um... if you had heard the removed draenei and worgen jokes you would think otherwise...

Breakfast Topic: What memorial would you leave behind in WoW? {WoW}

Jun 10th 2011 5:15PM I would want an npc of my character in my favorite gear (felheart set + zhar'doom) that gave out several parts to an epic quest chain for everyone but gave different greetings for each class... as in I would complement the warlocks and make fun of everyone else (being a warlock and all)... it would be great...

The Queue: Panda ... nope, not going to do it {WoW}

Jun 10th 2011 4:58PM I think the furbolgs are more likely to be the next alliance race... not because we need more furry races but because the horde already has a more civilized race and we need a more tribal race on the alliance. Furbolgs were already good friends with the nelfs before they were corrupted by demons and the ones on the draenei isles become good friends with the draenei after you help them so much througout the questing... but yeah ogres for the horde... I know there are a lot of neutral ogres around and they didn't like the horde after the second war, but considering how many instances there are in the game of ogres still having loose ties to the horde, there could certainly be a tribe of ogres that decide to stop being neutral just like the goblins did...

Two Bosses Enter: Baron Ashbury vs. Cardboard Assassin {WoW}

Jun 9th 2011 12:51AM The cardboard assassin should have never beat vanessa vancleef so yeah... baron ashbury... a glorified decoy is not capable of interupting stay of execution so obviously ashbury wins...

The Queue: The land of the ice and snow {WoW}

Jun 6th 2011 4:09AM Sorry but pandarens are no longer a joke race... yes they originated as an april fools joke but once they had their own hero unit (one of which plays a major role in the horde campaign in the frozen throne) and have since been featured in the wow tabletop rpg books and in quests in wow itself, they have become canon... They will probably never become playable (the debates over which side they should be on would potentially split the community asunder) but I wouldn't be surprised to see them as a neutral race we do quests for a few years down the line when blizzard is running out of expansion ideas...

Know Your Lore: The Warcraft cosmos, Tinfoil Hat edition {WoW}

Jun 6th 2011 3:36AM Just a correction... the lich king did not suck the souls out of every scourge that was created... he is just one being after all and cannot be there in all those instances... most of the scourge was created through the plague that was unleashed in lordaeron which would was specifically targeted for humans and after killing them would automatically raise them as mindless undead... their souls were probably still trapped in their bodies but their minds were enslaved and no longer sentient... hence why when the lich king lost power and control over them, their sentience was restored... their souls were still around but had been dominated by the will of the lich king... also I doubt you could call the lich king a plane of existence... it is a being that somehow transcended it's origin... it is the corrupt side of arthas merged with the twisted remnant of ner'zhul... it became a entity of pure malevolence and death that was only being held back by the mortal will of arthas's old self which was relegated to the farthest depths of his consiousness along with ner'zhul's original self... which is what the vision in rise of the lich king was about... a new third being had arisen from the merger of corrupted arthas and twisted ner'zhul and split off from their original mortal intelligences and banished them to the recesses of it is mind... their evilness had taken on a mind of it's own and had taken over the collective being that known as the lich king even though it was really the lich king using the body of arthas and keeping his will at bay (and I guess had completely suppressed ner'zhul but maybe ner'zhul was permantly tied to the lich king since apparently his conciousness was not present in arthas after the helm of domination was removed)... odd that even after doing this, arthas's original goodness was able to influence the lich king enough to keep him from all-out slaughtering the mortal factions of the world...

Breakfast Topic: Did you purchase the Winged Guardian? {WoW}

Jun 5th 2011 6:27PM I just want to know what is going on with that blood elf in the background... odd um... outfit... he's got there...

WoW Moviewatch: Classic nostalgia {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2011 11:13AM Also he brings up bloodlust on shamans when they didn't have bloodlust/heroism til bc when the shamans and paladins were given to the factions that didn't previously have them anyway... but yeah there was a lot more things wrong with vanilla than just the few mentioned here...
