May 25th 2011 11:09AM This 'wizard' must be quite busy. Arcane shot making sounds like a profitable business. I wonder if I can invest somewhere.

I was explaining that exact thing to my brother this morning. I would love if all classes could play multiple roles (like Shamans or Warriors), instead of certain ones being handpicked to be the most versatile and most played classes because they can play all three roles.

Rift does seem to have the right idea in this respect: let the player choose the character and what they want to do with it. I agree and hope that Blizzard does something like adding a fourth talent tree to each spec in a future expansion. (Maybe a ranged Paladin spec, shield-bearing rogues in charge of a group to further their own schemes, a similar Warlock healer [careful, fel energies can heal and buff, but you may become addicted], and the list goes on).

May 9th 2011 11:59AM Question for the Queue:

Heroic Gnomeregan. Would defeating Thermaplug at 85 get us some momentum on that front?

May 7th 2011 3:02PM I was going to say something witty about Fox cancelling Sci Fi shows, but I won't because they seem to be improving.

Let's recap:

Sliders: First season with marred continuity caused by airing episodes out of order, so-so second season, main writers were fired for the crap lets-rip-off-of-horror-movies third season. Cancelled, redeemed slightly by SciFi Channel for seasons 4 & 5.

Firefly: First and only season marred by airing episodes out-of-order and constantly switching air times and dates. Cancelled, picked up by Universal for a movie deal.

Sarah Connor Chronicles: Cancelled on its second season. Continuity respected and preserved.

Dollhouse: Cancelled on its second season. Continuity respected and preserved.

Fringe: Lasts four seasons. Continuity respected and preserved.

It seems like Fox Network is improving over time. I still mourn Firefly though, and hope Science channel decides to make new episodes seeing as how the reruns are one of their top shows right now.

May 2nd 2011 2:03PM Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Alliance symbol, I think, is a symbol for the house of Wrynn. By the same token, the Horde symbol (I assume) is Doomhammer's original clan symbol. Either that, or a shamanistic symbol of some sort.

Apr 27th 2011 10:53PM Can you get that helm in-game? Can anyone direct me to the awesomeness that is a look-alike of Rexxar's helm?

Magni will be visitable in 4.1. They're unlocking the door to Old Ironforge.

Apr 19th 2011 1:52PM The final boss for vanilla was Kel Thuzad, but he wasn't really part of some big overarching plot like the final bosses for the expansions, just the final boss for the final patch. Not much else. (though, he was extremely hard to get to, because getting ~30-35 people attuned to the Plagueland's Naxxramas was difficult, to say the least.)
