Oct 31st 2011 8:52PM We have barely enough to call them talents? Wrong, I say. MoP's talents are the first system we've had that can actually be called talents. Can't call something a talent if everybody (of whatever class/tree) can do it. It's more like a skillbook. These are the things every well trained (insert class here) can do. Now, if there are real choices and no clear right or wrong choice, now that is a talent just because it's your choice and something your toon can do that the same class/spec standing next to you might not have.
Mar 4th 2010 6:35PM Can't believe nobody has mentioned EngBags. It's been my favorite for a very long time now. I've tried Ark, Baggins, Bagnon, and none of them have stuck with me.
Jul 3rd 2009 6:26PM Wiping out the EK and Kalimdor would be nuts. But I've believed there was a big change coming to the old world zones ever since Blizzcon last year. Having those old zones wiped out may seem extreme and I don't know what they'd do to replace them. I don't think they would make all new toons start at 55 like the DK. Don't want to see that happen either, as much as I hate the 1-60 leveling. I just think this idea fits with something from the Dev Q&A at last years Blizzon...
Q: We’re taking over northrend in this expansion, what about the next?
A: Something else! starcraft 2! not what you expect in a very good way. it’s not about comments, but i guess it kind of is but boldness is next! unbelievable boldness.
Nothing could be more bold than this....
May 31st 2009 10:35PM PVE Frost Spec doesn't need help, it's fine, right where it should be. It's the players that spec Frost for PVE that need help. Seriously, get a real spec and leave Frost for PVP.
May 1st 2009 12:33AM Ok, so the whole reasoning he thought it would be ok to use is pretty much BS. Anybody that's played for as long as he has knows good and well Blizz doesn't care enough to say "Sorry it took us 4 months to fix your stuff, here have some fun."
Still, to ban his account is garbage. Whether or not it was right or wrong to use, his guildmate was given the item. It wasn't a bug, or an exploit, it was a legit item sent through an official mail. If I was in his place, I would have used it. Many of you folk screamin about how wrong it was and patting yourselves on your backs for your high morals would have used it too.
This isn't the first time things like this have happened. Back in vanilla, a guy raiding Molten Core got a legendary that wasn't supposed to be in the loot table. A dev mistake, and he got to actually keep it. Ok so it was kind of a crappy neck, but still. In BC shortly after Hyjal was released, there was a bug that let people get T6 set pieces for no cost. The items were removed, but no bans. This is nothing more than Blizz overreacting, and making this guy look like some kind of hacker instead of fessing up and owning up to their own mistake.
Nobody was harmed with this. They had some fun. But it's their game and they can do whatever they want with our accounts, losing one sub out of millions is nothing to them. Hopefully they will learn from this mistake, put safeguards in place to see that it doesn't happen again. At the very least, something should be added to the TOS to clearly cover this situation so there's nothing gray about it.
Oct 11th 2008 10:05PM Tried Dosbox yet? Made my day when I found that and finally got Day of the Tentacle to work right.
Sep 24th 2008 9:10PM Maybe if Bolvar and Saurfang weren't wearing lvl60 gear they might have survived a bit longer.
Sep 18th 2008 6:58PM On Terenas I'm in the SGA (Small Guild Alliance) and we use GEM. Works out pretty well.
Aug 21st 2008 4:29PM I don't really think the people with older PC's will have to worry much when WoW gets a graphical facelift. Since entering beta I've been amazed at how good the new models (Vrykul in particular) and environments look without taking any hit in framerate.
Still though, I'm satisfied with the look of the game as is, only graphical change I'd like is to just update the player models, especially those fugly human males. They've said well, people have invested alot of time into their characters and we wouldn't want to change their look and have them hate it. Well just offer us new models that we can change at will through something like the barber shop. Gnomish Plastic Surgeon!
Aug 18th 2008 6:59PM I don't really have a single "main" anymore. I have 5 70s and on the weeks where I have plenty of time, I play them all, mostly for money from dailies. Now, at any given time, I will have one that I am focusing on for the moment. I tend to swap back and forth every few weeks to a month to one or the other. Just because I get bored with them(get bored with the rogue the quickest usually). For the moment, I am heavily focused on my enhancement shaman, and although I don't see that changing anytime soon, its a possibility.
It works OK for me in some ways, some ways not. I am in a casual Kara/ZA guild, and go to Kara with whatever is fun to me at the time, or as the group needs. I do have the intention of going in to gear them all up, but also take into account the people I'm rolling against. If I know they are a main, and the item is a bigger upgrade for them, then obviously it goes to them. I have no problem passing, it dropped, it'll drop again.
Downside of so many 70s of course, is none of them are as well geared as I would like(who has enough anyway lol). So I'm thinking when Wrath comes around I'll just be leveling two, my enhancement shaman(engineering/blacksmithing) and my miner rogue. If I can stick with my shaman for 4-6 months, I'll declare her my first actual main in a long time.
