Feb 5th 2009 6:50PM Oh come now, Eregos vs Loken in the first round? That's just putting a couple of pro teams together while in a bracket full of little leaguers. Should have gone with a seeded format, in my opinion.

Believe it or Don't: Patch 3.1 notes leaked? [Updated] {WoW}

Jan 31st 2009 8:19PM Extremely well-written. A lot of the style of writing has been seen in prior (actual) release notes.

The changes to Prospecting / Milling (4 vs 5 required) are just too much, though. Especially coupled with 'Saronite Deposits now yield more ore.' Yeaaaah, I'm thinking no.

A lot of quality stuff in here, but it sounds too much like a wishlist to me. In the words of Mythbusters though, I'll stamp it as 'Plausible.' - it cuts well enough to how Blizz writes (as opposed to prior fake notes) and addresses so many things that Blizz has said they would change in the past that it might well be an early look at what they're thinking about. They may also be testing everything here knowing that a good chunk of it might be reverted (like, say, the Crit Block and the Potency stat).

Blood Pact: How the mighty have fallen, 2008 in review part II {WoW}

Dec 31st 2008 5:59PM I absolutely love Affliction for PvE right now. I really like the intricacy involved with playing that spec, and always have. However, skill is now more of a requirement than ever to play the class. It's very, very easy to do 800dps as an Afflock nowadays if you're not careful. If you're good, though, you can own the meters, and without any real sort of gear.

As an example, I currently have upgraded my pants, necklace, gloves, and bracers to 80 epic level...everything else is either quest/dungeon blues (or greens in one trinket slot's case) or in a few places level 70 epics. Yet, last night on Arch25, I hit over 2800 dps...and I know I was still under what I could have done, as I was figuring out a new rotation.

I hope they don't change the affliction rotation very much. I like how you actually have to have skill to do well.
