Sep 7th 2010 2:12AM I have 28 robes for RP.... 28... Just for you know. Every dress and outfit combination I could ever want... But that's just Chest pieces... Gloves and boots... Oh no... Now I have to check what to get rid of!
Sep 1st 2009 2:09PM For me it had to be Iron Council.
"Whether the world's greatest gnats, or the world's greatest heros... You're still, only, Mortal."
That really made me want to kill them that line. Think about if you were playing a Night Elf. You lost your immortality during the Third War in order to protect the whole world which would include Ulduar and all it's secrets. There are alot of different races that this line would aggrivate because even if it doesn't seem like it, everyone helped out at Mount Hyjal and for him to say their losses and sacrifices mean nothing, simply because they are mortal.
Mar 17th 2009 11:13AM I feel the Need before Greed system works best Especially since we are not hurting for Shards on my realm.
Greens on the other hand I would argue to roll on concidering a stack of Dust = 100g and 1 Greater Essence is 16g each.
So it really comes down to the value of supplies on your realm in my opinion and what the general group consences is.
Feb 25th 2008 5:23PM Okay I see alot of complaints here but lets shed some light really...
First off. This Nerf is not TOTALLY off their rocker. In both PVE and PVP terms.
Lets look at it, They are I admit getting closer to mages. Though it doesn't hurt really when you look at it. They are trying to make it so Stam isn't SO stacked and it is more Averaged out. To have = Stam and Intel. and for Raids it could potentially be more Beneficial.
You have a wider Range of Items that actually BENIFIT you.
You do not rely on a healer to boost your HP back up As quickly and can actually go a few moments without needing to actually Tap.
You can gain some more Crit from said gear.
Your health will not Determine if you can Cast or not (As much)
So just a quick Crack down
-Gear, Mana Pool, Damage boost from +gear, and better Casting ability
Losses: - HP (no huge deal. Mages live with it), Talents might need abit of Tweeking by Blizz, Warlock gear will have to be Edited.
PVP wise this is a good thing. Since the water drinking is being Nerfed. Why give Warlocks the Edge? If you look alot of PVP warlocks are hitting the 13,000 HP mark unbuffed.
That is Rediculous! Not to mention that you can find atleast 1 Warlock in Every single arena team. And when you can easily find Warlocks with 825 Stam and 401 Intel, There is a stat balance issue, Warlocks have been forgetting the Benifits to having High Intel. I can look at Warlocks and see +1000 Spell damage and 9% crit. (Though Crit is again a more PVE stat for warlocks) This is to be fair to other classes.
Basically the Objective is to lower the Value of a Warlock and stop making them the most Dependant caster class. And frankly... in PVP... Lets face it... We all hate Warlocks, even other Warlocks. They are so extreamly difficult to kill. Their Healthstones can Crit, Which makes Mages ask "Why can't my Mana Emerald?" And they have Huge life that a Mage can Bearly take down. They have pets for Every situation to screw everyone over.
This really is as I see it a Balance in PVP wise.
This is something that opens up Options for Warlocks gear wise in PVE wise. (And takes a slight load off healers)
I have nothing against Warlocks but I do see alot of complaining and not enough people who sit and take a Moment to think...
Why would they do this?
Feb 25th 2008 4:21PM Ah also, Does anyone else wish there was one server that could be named "The Unoffical RP server" ?
Maybe an Artical on that can be done.
Feb 25th 2008 4:17PM I have several of my own personal characters and a very long time Role Player. I am very serious about it. Some of my characters are... (Mind you some of the names are abit awkward because I move them from game to game most of them started in Neverwinter Nights)
(Night Elven [Since there is no Wood Elves])
This is a Druidess always one that has a sense of inner calm and in a Zen-like state. She is a dedicated Druid in the sense of preserving balance. She is willing to confront people but at the same time will not result to a violent fashion. [Difficult Character to explain but my favorite]
She is the rough tough person you think about. But not in the Typical sense. She has a sense of manners but easily ticked off and very literal sometimes. For example in one Role Play someone just said "Alright fine. Just kill me and put an end to it" and without hesitation, She stabbed him in the neck.
Shaylah is one of the better Roles because Every RP community should have atleast one. An all around good person, just not someone you want to get on their bad side. As well as at the same time in all of this, she doesn't try to build that reputation... It just kind of comes with the Events.
Characters are very easy and fun to make, but one Key law in Role Play, Don't over do it, and don't make it over Dramatic. Make a character with a short and sweet details.
Oddly enough some of the best characters are just the average citizen. Your just some citizen, it is probably the MOST unique role I can think of. Everyone wants to be special because of Accomplishments or past experience, But since everybody has that story... Where is the Originality?
End line. Stay plain and simple, Life is Complicated, don't make Role Play Life complicated too.
