WebOS homebrew MyTether app updated, brings WiFi hotspots to Verizon Palms w/o the extra subscription {Engadget}

Feb 10th 2010 12:13AM @aonic funny how ya changed your position almost instantly yesterday ;) To clarify, re: that link, it wasn't just my point of view on ipk installs, it was also Palm's and WebOS-Internals, and Palm confirmed it was the bad installation method that caused the never-ending update issue.

Anyway, water under the bridge now that you've conformed to properly established standards :)

Jul 27th 2009 2:33PM I'm the developer of the desktop installer. YES, non-standard apps like MyTether, Flashlight, Terminal, etc. WILL be able to be installed in the Pre with WebOS Quick Install. Slightly different install method, but I will be writing a guide on how to install those programs in a day in or so. :)

Or you can just hit center button and "up swipe"

Plethora of Palm Pre interface videos emerge from leaked emulator {Engadget}

May 24th 2009 6:47PM Ignore the guy saying there's QuickOffice for the Pre. There isn't as far as I know.

What it does have, is built-in DocumentsToGo. The built-in version is only a viewer, but there will be an upgrade around the time of the Pre's launch that will enable creation and editing.
