Dec 10th 2008 3:57PM I wrote a couple guides after getting frustrated at the lack of resources; the basic run-down can be found here or here.

Spiritual Guidance: 17 trinkets for healing raiders {WoW}

Dec 1st 2008 12:30PM @m0wglie: Whoever told you that was just plain wrong. The Blue Dragon will still proc at level 80, at a 2% chance on cast. I just tested it. :)

Varian Wrynn hates the Horde {WoW}

Nov 26th 2008 2:38PM Hey, hold on a second...

A) The black dragonflight were allied with the Horde during the second war. Yes. The 'Old' Horde, not the current one- who make something of a point of spiking Onyxia's head on a stick in the center of their capital city.

B) The Order of the Ebon Blade, and Highlord Fordring's Argent Crusade, are not Alliance factions. The Alliance's position vs. the Horde is entirely unaffected by these two groups, as they are wise enough to know where their ire should be focused (I.E. on the Lich King).

C) A smaller force? It's possible. The Horde isn't as large as the Alliance. They were also the Horde's best- Horde questchains constantly have players going out and gathering supplies or striking at military targets because the Kor'kron Vanguard, the Horde's best troops, are located at the Wrathgate, with the best of the equipment and provisions. So much of the Horde military is focused there, in fact, that the Horde can't even adequately defend Warsong Hold- their major base in Northrend.

Not exactly a 'token force'.

D) What else does he find? Thrall and Sylvanas and a handful of bloodied Horde heroes standing over the corpse of Varimathras, having slaughtered their way into the city. Clearly accomplices!

Breakfast Topic: Silly, unconventional, and amazing dungeon runs {WoW}

May 28th 2008 7:11PM Just last week, some guildmates and I hit up Heroic Underbog. We were wearing scattered gear- nothing higher than Kara gear and my one piece of Season 2, maybe some of the crafted stuff the professions get from their trainers.

I tanked it.

As a balance druid.

We only wiped three times (and one of those was due to an inattentive group member wandering up to a bog lord while I was drinking).

It was glorious fun; video of four-manning Hungarfen in just over 1:20 is on http://www.frostmage.net on the front page. Our warlock, who was in that party, fell asleep at his keyboard right before the boss. We ended up bringing in a guildmate on his level 68 paladin.

Small buffs for Mage, Druid, Priest; small nerf for Shaman {WoW}

Feb 26th 2008 7:44AM We are getting nerfed. See my comment above- the effects of Lifebloom, the major healing spell Resto druids use, are getting a serious cut.

As in "After the patch, fully-geared, you'll do as much healing as you currently do when not carrying a weapon or any rings." And I'm not talking a random green weapon; specifically and literally, Light's Justice.

Small buffs for Mage, Druid, Priest; small nerf for Shaman {WoW}

Feb 25th 2008 9:47PM It's unfortunate, but you're very wrong- the Druid so-called 'buff' is entirely BLOWN AWAY by the massive, skull-crushing and in fact entirely hideous nerf to Lifebloom.

To put this in perspective, my Lifebloom on 2.4 PTR as of 12 PM EST today was doing the same healing, per tick, as my Lifebloom on the current live realms.

The difference, unfortunately, is that while I was fully equipped on the PTR, I wasn't carrying a weapon (Light's Justice) or wearing either of my rings (Keeper's Ring of Piety, Violet Signet (revered, healer variant)) on Live.

There's a new PTR just issued, hopefully when the realms come back up I'll be able to report an improvement. Until then, calling this a 'small buff' is both an order of magnitude out, and in the wrong direction.
