Feb 4th 2011 1:00PM If this happened as presented, then the guild member who crafted the deck was wrong to talk about Sense before confronting him/her.
Since that member was upset that his/her own mats were used, I'm willing to bet he/she complained to other guild members about it. Since Sense didn't know, that would have created a false impression that Sense had known from the beginning and had taken gross advantage of someone's goodwill.
All of that could have been avoided had the confrontation occurred first.
Jan 30th 2011 12:40PM I do not like the current status of PuGs in Cata. It is very discouraging to wait 45 minutes, only to have the tank drop as soon as we enter, forcing us to wait another 20 minutes until another tank joins the group, only to have the group disband after the second wipe.
Now, to be fair, I've been in awesome groups where people are really cool about learning the instance and wiping. That alone would be worth it if it wasn't for the insane wait time for dps.
There was one time where I got VP and the tank immediately dropped group. While we were wondering why he would do so, one of the dps explained that the tank was a friend of his who was about to go raid, but agreed to queue with him to instantly get him into a heroic. When I stated we would now have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes to get another tank, the dps said that at least we wouldn't have to wait 40 minutes [in the queue]. Having already spent 40 minutes in the queue, I dropped group shortly after the healer did because my patience for waiting was at an end.
Jan 25th 2011 10:55PM Geez, this reply system can get wonky at times.... Anyway:
This isn't about being wasteful, this is about people making me do things for them and expecting me to be ok with it.
There is no harm in the asking. There is, however, harm in the not asking. I'm not going to help if they assume I'm doing the hard work for them. End of story. That's what they're telling me by not asking if they can follow me around and skin my kills.
If they're skinning things I killed 10 mobs ago, sure, fine, go ahead. If they ask if it's ok to follow me around and skin whatever I kill, my response will be: "Sure, go to town with that. In fact, I hope you get enough to make yourself that nice pair of boots you've had in mind since you got that last LW recipe."
But since they don't and follow me around expecting free mats from every single skinnable mob I kill, I'm going to disappoint them.
Why should I reward a lack of common courtesy?
Jan 25th 2011 10:15PM Stupid reply system putting my response at the end of the last page. That was @Toggle back on page 25.
Jan 25th 2011 10:07PM Did you seriously just compare skinning something in a game to denying a real life person something vital to their continued survival?
The vast majority of skinners I've come across don't ask. They just waltz right on in and start skinning.
Let me tell you something: That's where the problem is. Some skinners may not see a problem with it since the leather may go to waste, but when a skinner starts following me around skinning my kills, it feels like they're trying to take advantage of me by making me do the hard work for them. Especially when they don't ask if it's ok or don't even announce their attentions and especially when they start complaining how people should be looting their kills so they can gather the mats that could go for 100 gold on the AH. (I'm not kidding. I've seen a skinner say that before.) It just amazes me how they assume everyone would be ok with that.
Those skinners have absolutely no common courtesy and I refuse to lift a finger to help them.
Jan 25th 2011 12:50PM 1. The 'anal' meme in Trade.
2. People who invite me or my low level alts to their group/guild without sending me a tell about what's going on first.
3. Skinners who think it's their God-given right to skin anything and everything. Just the other day, there was a skinner in TB general who was complaining how people weren't looting the crocs. When I went to do that quest shortly after, I turned off auto-looting purely out of principle.
Jan 13th 2011 6:46PM One mistake that many people make is thinking that they *have* to be first and that they *have* to wrestle control of the market out of the hands of the current market leader.
Unless you have a significant competitive advantage, you *will* lose if you decide to directly compete with the market leader because the market leader has more resources and brand loyalty than you do.
Dec 24th 2010 12:50PM This was inspired by The Little Match Girl, wasn't it?
Dec 17th 2010 9:27AM I find it interesting that whenever someone rightfully gets called out, they always, always, always turn around and call everyone who did so to them a worthless fanboy who doesn't know how to play.
It's sad how predictable it is.
Oct 31st 2010 10:32PM So here's a question: Would everyone know that Bolvar is the new Lich King since that statue in the middle of Dalaran reveals the truth of what happened to anyone who touches it?
