It's not that I wasn't satisified, but... {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2008 5:25PM i agree that when you report somebody, you should be told exactly what's been done about the issue. in football, when there's a penalty, every player on the field & every fan in the stands is told exactly what was done wrong & exactly what the punishment is. should there really be a difference here? not at all.

if you report something, and nothing is done about it, and they tell you that nothing is done & why nothing is done, then you won't report somebody for the same thing again (theoretically). this saves the GMs a lot of time in the long run. but if you report something, & don't know anything about what happened, then you're going to keep reporting people for the same crap just because you don't know that it's okay for them to be doing it.

WotLK collector's edition revealed {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 1:04PM i'm not fucking porr, i just have better things to spend my money on than art books & crappy cds. i don't give a shot about interviews or commentaries, i like my current mousepad just fine. i don't play the card game, because i play magic, a game that's actually good. the frostwurm pet is the only thing in the collector's edition that i would remotely maybe want, & even that doesn't actually DO anything. it doesn't kill enemies, it doesn't help me in any way. none of this would. so no, it's really not worth the $30. maybe $5-$7, but definitely not 30.

WotLK collector's edition revealed {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 8:40AM fuck dat shit i'm not paying an extra $30 for useless crap. i remember laughing my ass off at a friend of mine when he bought the BC CE, back before i even played WoW. and now i will laugh my ass off at everybody else who does it, just like i laugh at people who buy the "of the shattered sun" title.

you guys are all fucking douchebags. LARPers are the biggest blight on the world of geeks today because they give us all a bad fucking name. people see that, know that i play WoW, & then come ask me if i do that shit. fuck you guys, i hate you.

and don't fucking try to say that's not LARPing. they're clearly doing some sort of fuckface knighting ceremony in one pic. in a few others they're standing there like they think they're stormwind guards or something. fucking fuckheads. STOP IT. STOP DRAGGING US ALL DOWN INTO YOUR GUTTER.

EA: You don't need $1 billion to compete with WoW {WoW}

Aug 29th 2008 4:39PM "while WoW is running, it's highly unlikely we'll see any MMO come anywhere near its 10 million total subscribers."

i believe you are very mistaken.

Dungeons & Dragons Game Table, the new online D&D, will easily rival (if not annihilate) WoW in the number of players it will have.

a new game like Warhammer or Conan has to advertise & convince players to play them. the thing with D&D is that it *already has* the millions of players, probably more than WoW. and as soon as WotC gets their Game Table up & running, a very large percentage of those millions will be downloading it & playing it. in fact, i wouldn't be surprised to see WoW actually LOSE players to it. i know i'm considering quitting WoW to play D&D instead. i'm sure that i'm not alone. luckily i'm not poor/cheap enough to have to make that choice, but if i were forced to choose i would gladly take D&D hands-down & never look back.

Forum post of the day: No more newbies? {WoW}

Aug 29th 2008 4:26PM amanda dean, you ignorant slut.

lol jk, i doubt any of these kids will get the reference anyway. sad...

how the fuck are video games in general mostly about grinding? sure, a lot of RPGs have elements of grinding to them, but not ALL games. also, t2 magic is pretty hard for a new player to break into, because regardless of format, if you want to play at the tournament level you have to actually be good at the game & know the things that your buddy didn't teach you (i.e. what the stack is). and t2 is pretty expensive to get the cards for if you want to play a competitive deck. not quite as expensive as t1, but still, you're going to find yourself wanting multiple $20-$40 cards. and then next year you're going to have to go buy different $20-$40 cards, because there's a good chance that the ones you bought last year are now illegal or underpowered next to the new stuff.

anyway, i started playing WoW about 9 months ago, & i've been fine. i'm actually a bit angry about the whole R-A-F triple xp thing. it's a big slap in the face to everybody who's already at level 70 & did the real work. yeah, i know, i'm mad about it & even i had it easier than some of the more experienced players. things are just getting easier & easier, & i don't think i like it a bit.
