May 14th 2011 3:11AM They took the elemental shaman mastery and turned into a legendary proc.
"Grants a 16% chance for Elemental Overload to occur. Elemental Overload causes a Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, or Lava Burst spell you cast to trigger a second, similar spell on the same target at no additional cost that causes 75% of normal damage and no threat. Each point of Mastery increases the chance of Elemental Overload by an additional 2%."
It looks great, but using an existing classes mastery...? I'm a bit disappointed by that.
Apr 8th 2011 4:33PM I somehow doubt that was something Lolegolas could ignore ;)
Mar 21st 2011 9:10PM If Ozruk wins, which he should, the next fight featuring his image needs to have Asaad's turban on his head.
Feb 18th 2011 8:24AM Kara was awesome but my most epic raiding memory was my first Kael'thas Sunstrider (TK) kill. It was hard, it took us a long time, but all the mini-events leading up to the fight and the screaming on vent when he finally died make it the most amazing boss fight I have ever experienced.
Even killing the Lich King wasn't as epic as killing Kael'thas Sunstrider.

Ultra combo: "Stay awhile, and listen."
Jan 19th 2011 10:43AM Exactly the same for me. 20-30 minute queues give you more than enough time for some aerobics or weights and as my weights are in the same room as my pc I can carefully put the weights down and relax my muscles when I see the queue pop.
Nov 29th 2010 6:14PM My previous main was a Warlock, and it's the character I will be returning to in Cata, so from your perspective mana has always been 'broken' for me in that it's pretty much limitless; if I'm not taking damage and my mana drops below 80% then I life tap back to full and now I can let Fel Armor regenerate 2% of my health every 5 seconds.
Strangely though I enjoy the Warrior Rage system despite the irritating spikes it previously had (I haven't played my Warrior much since the patch, and it's been Protection since level 15) and I'm enjoying the Rogue Energy system on the rogue I've been levelling to pass the time, but for I find myself unable to enjoy the new Focus system due to the reasons I previously stated. The most enjoyable part of raiding for me (besides being with my friends, the epicness of the encounters, etc) is doing optimal dps. For some reason Focus just feels like it's constantly getting in the way of me doing that rather than helping me.
As for Focus being limitless... it is, except that we need to us Steady Shot to regenerate it faster in order to perform optimally. I think I'd actually enjoy my hunter more, now that I've played a rogue, if steady shot did not generate focus and was just our 'filler' shot to use while regenerating focus for our other shots.
Nov 29th 2010 4:41PM I agree with you on all of these points except one:
Mana > Focus. Why? Because we barely needed to think about it.
One of the things that I enjoy about the Hunter class pre-Cata was that, in spite of all the things I didn't enjoy about the class, if you had enough ammo you could pretty much guarantee that you could keep up your rotation forever. Getting to below 10% mana? Switch to Aspect of the Viper until you get back to 90% then back into Aspect of the Dragonhawk.
I've raided ICC25 before and after the patch on my Hunter and will continue to do so until Cata hits and we start levelling again but I can honestly say that even though Hunters have been given a new life I don't enjoy the class anymore. The Focus system combines the slow regeneration rate of the Rogue Energy system and the irritating spikes of the Warrior Rage system and the Death Knight Runic Power system with the very small maximum value that all three share. In short: for me, it's now the least enjoyable resource system in the game.
Give me a post-cata Hunter and I'll play it well enough to earn my raid spot, but I won't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I did pre-cata. :(
Nov 22nd 2010 3:37PM At first, from the picture provided, I thought this was somebody being silly and asking if they could turn their characters into Goblins or Worgen before Cataclysm is released.
That would make perfect sense. This doesn't.
Not being able to change a character from 1 class / race combo available to everyone who has the game into another class / race combo available to everyone who has the game is stupid. I can't think of a way to sensibly justify this decision. If anything, they just delayed getting money from all the people who intend to change an existing character into one of the newly available races. Sure, they'll get the money eventually, but why make people wait?
