Phat Loot Phriday: Drake Talon Cleaver {WoW}

Nov 20th 2010 5:17AM Both the Drake Talon Cleaver and the Draconic Avenger are in my collection of "awesome weapon models" but the Cleaver just looks more awesome.

The Queue: Alexander Q. Ziebart, I owe you {WoW}

Nov 14th 2010 7:12PM I have 5 guild bank tabs full of runcloth specifically to hit Goblin Exalted on day 1. It's my own fault in the end for thinking they'd still be there but honestly did anyone expect them to be removed?

Insider Trader: No more low-level crafting alts {WoW}

Nov 9th 2010 12:47PM In order to have all primary professions covered you need to have 6 characters:
1. Mining / Blacksmithing.
2. Skinning / Leatherworking.
3. Herbalism / Alchemy.
4. Inscription / Engineering.
5. Enchanting / Tailoring.
6. Jewelcrafting / whatever-profession-they-add-next.

Already got 7 80s so I'm all set :P

Why survivability matters in Cataclysm class design {WoW}

Nov 9th 2010 6:57AM The problem with GC's response is that the only thing the talent the players was pointing at was reduce spell damage taken.

Perseverance:
Class / Talent Tree / Tier: Druid / Restoration / 2nd
Effect: Reduces all spell damage taken by (2/4/6)%

There is nothing even remotely interesting about this talent. It is dull, and it is the kind of thing that Blizzard gave the impression they would be removing in Cataclysm back when the plan to change talent trees was originally announced.

The funny part is that in a later patch after this comment (I believe it was the next patch) the number of 1st tier restoration druid talents mysteriously went up from 3 to 4...

Sorry to the class designers but the bad news is that:
"More effect damage / healing > Personal Survival"
Personal Survival talents are a secondary concern when you have taken every available damage-dealing / heal-improving talent available. Why? Because you can get around picking those survival talents by playing better. The only exception are talents that will directly prevent death (Cauterize and Cheat Death).

Arcane Brilliance: Fire mage Cataclysm talent analysis, page 3 {WoW}

Nov 6th 2010 8:20PM As a Warlock, who also has a Mage, I look forward to the merciless destruction that Fire Mages and all Warlocks will cause when, at level 85. we share Dark Intent.

Think, for a moment, about all the hate that Warlocks feel for Mages.
Now, think about all the hate Mages feel for Warlocks.
Lastly, think about all that combined hate siphoned into a single spell and aimed at a boss.

Breakfast Topic: Does world PvP feel dishonorable? {WoW}

Nov 6th 2010 12:18PM * should not be honorable.

Are we ever going to get an edit button? Please?

Breakfast Topic: Does world PvP feel dishonorable? {WoW}

Nov 6th 2010 12:16PM The problem is that world pvp should not be honorably. Honor implies that the fight is fair, and World PvP is most fun when it ISN'T fair (e.g. griefing). This is why I don't play on PvP servers anymore.

Ask a Faction Leader: High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque {WoW}

Blood Pact: Little-known warlock facts {WoW}

Apr 13th 2010 4:04PM It was a funny list of one-liners but after the article provided by Hobbs I think a lot of people were expecting more. Sorry to be blunt but I it needs to be said.

Muscle March introduction for first-timers {WoW}

Apr 1st 2010 4:27PM A friend of mine recommended Rastafarian. It's 51 points in Rastamasta / 20 points in Afromasta.
