Blood Pact: Mistakes other people make {WoW}

Jan 25th 2010 5:51PM I set up the mod Powa Auras to put a big wobbly symbol on my screen whenever I get a HoT (sans Riptide). It's my big freindly reminder that I can tap away without annoying the healer. Sometimes it can be easy not to notice when a HoT is active on you, especially during buffing sessions, so I highly reccomend locks get a reminder of some sort.

Thats said. If I need to tap more than once between fights, I'll tap away then use a bandage. If the healer isn't busy / not paying attention / acting like a Diva then you'll have wasted a bandage, but the healer will love you.

Forum post of the day: Beta buying blues {WoW}

Jul 23rd 2008 4:19AM To me the big issue is not that people are selling their keys, its that people are able to sell used keys and, unfortunately, people will get excited or careless and buy one. There is a loophole in Ebay ToS that allows the sale of used codes, empty boxes and the like provided that the seller states in the post that the item is in fact used. as long as this text is in the post and readable the post is legitimate. Sure, most people will be careful and read carefully but there are the few who don't read correctly and pay $500 for a worthless piece of plastic.

By all means if you do not intend to help in the testing go ahead and sell your code, or give it to someone who does. But if you are looking to buy a code, tread very carefully.

Pardo says Warcraft IV is "one of the ideas on the table" after SC2 {WoW}

Jun 16th 2008 5:06PM Bliz have given themselves a rather flexible plothole as far as timelines are concerned in the form of the bronze dragonflight. All they need is Nozdormu to show up saying 'that was one possible future, but this is what really happened' and presto, story picks up from where is left off after WC3. of course, this will be like smacking their credibility with a sledgehammer.

Blood Pact: Warlock tips and tricks {WoW}

Mar 19th 2008 11:07PM The backlash cheat is not so much a cheat as a clever use of the resources at hand. Backlash Procs from melee damage, regardless of how little it is. A frog chewing on your toes hitting you for 1 damage over and over will cause backlash to proc like crazy (aside from the 8 second hidden cooldown). Be warned though that a heal will most likely annoy your bitey friend and send them off to attach the toes of your healer. Funny but you lose you backlash buddy. You can just bash it with your staff at this point.

Playing with your keyboard {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2008 10:23PM Yes, Blizzard has been known to contradict themselves on may occasions about this. From my experiance with peoople who have been banned for doing this though I've found

1. They program their entire spell rotation into one key with wait commands, which is strictly against the TOS. People whve been known to program an entire bossfight into one key. Fortunatly the large number of fights requiring movement in BC has stopped a lot of this.

2. They brag about it. Except in the above instance, blizzard cannot see that you are using short macros such as the one in the article. if they were to check the logs it would appear that you just pressed three or four keys in quick succession.

In short, Short macros of 5 or less keypresses are fine, but don't go stupid with it.

I use the V2 G15. You can see a pic of it here

In the standard WASD config, the G3,G4 and G5 Keys are withing easy reach, with 3 savable programs each.
