WoW Rookie: Account Security Basics {WoW}

Mar 18th 2008 11:37AM I have to ask this, but why doesn't Blizzard change the password entry system to the same thing that online banks have, y'know the one where it asks for 'the first character' of your password, then 'the seventh character', then 'the third character' ?

Breakfast Topic: When do you start working up a profession? {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2008 8:11AM As a newbie, I didn't suss professions until I was at least level 15. I then quickly got myself a skinning knife and went on a rampage. Killing and skinning low level mobs over and over again just to level the profession up was the worst bit of grinding i've encountered thus far :(

Playing with your keyboard {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2008 4:33AM I've never been a fan of these OTT 'gaming' keyboards. They take up way too much desk space for one, and they just look 1970s sci-fi stupid.

As a left-hander also, I have to concurr with the above comment, WSAD is NO good for lefties, our brains just don't work that way. My set up is a Logitech MX500 mouse, and a standard Dell keyboard (no my rig isn't a Dell, just the keyboard). I like the Dell kb because it has a small profile, and the keys are quite responsive.

Keys wise, I use the mouse in the standard way, but move around (mostly) with the cursor keys. At the moment a lot of my keys are still defaults, mainly coz I'm still a bit of a WoW newbie. However, I can't see me ever moving to WSAD - I've tried before (Unreal, Quake, etc) and have never managed to be comfortable with it.

What I'd REALLY like is a Dell-ish keyboard (ie. simple) BUT with key backlighting so I can play in the dark. Anyone know of one ?
