Apr 29th 2008 9:48AM To hell with Blizzards ego stroking mini-game. Let it stay right where it is on a PTR style server and get it out of WORLD of WARcraft.
I miss the days of warlord/marshal teams. Take away the 4,827 different vanity titles from every little quest chain and make High Warlord and Grand Marshal be an impressive accomplishment and a feared sight.
This just proves Bliz can separate out arenas, but refuse to because it is where they, not the paying customer, want the game to end up.
I would gladly give back my S1 gear if they would give me back my rankings and gear from pre-SiFi TBC.
Well back to leveling my alt.

This Arena crap is just stupid. Titles forever that mean nothing. Go back to the war in WARcraft and lets get the Warlord/Marshal teams back (oh how fun those were.)
Remember when you saw a High Warlord or Grand Marshal and got scared 'cus you knew if he saw you it was gonna leave a mark?
Those were the days . . .
There was carnage (rolling pugs) and respect (a lone helmet mounted in the GY would be left alone from the other team usually) and true TEAM dedication.
It took more than 2-4 of your friends to be the best and get the best gear.
If Bliz wants "raid" style play, scrap this self-indulgent "I am the best" crap and make us play as a faction TEAM.
Apr 21st 2008 8:19PM Same here. With gold so easy to make, it makes more sense to make a true "bank alt" and get all that extra storage for things not used every day, but have value.
It also makes lvling a real alt toon much easier since the provisions for all your base professions as First Aid, Cooking and even trade professions much easier and in turn lvling that toon much more enjoyable.
but to be honest, I'm just a pack rat that can't get rid of his HIGH WARLORD'S STREET SWEEPER . . .
Mar 3rd 2008 9:56AM Welcome to your new drug.
I think its great your mother plays. I play with my father and have experienced alor of the things you mentioned here. He has since topped out and has managed to grind out season 2 Arena and T4 gear.
A reader above was 110% right as raiding with parents will be your biggest challenge. Most players do not understand the dynamic of family play and loyalty over the raid worship. Get ready by helping her in 5 mans early. Aggro is easier explained by showing her the things that can go wrong.
On another note, my girlfriend told me since I play the game, she wanted to play with me. So now I find myself in the same situation as you. It does not seem to be your mother only as she has some issues facing the targets, but has tremendous satisfaction completing tasks.
I used this as an excuse to start my third "serious" toon (Tauren drood with a cute name to match hers) and lever with her. The great thing about it is getting rares is as easy as farming with multiple 70's to help. That alone has helped out her survival and understandign of what she will be one day.
I can hear her on Vent, "OMG! you killed all those at once and didn't die!" (RFD just isn't as hard as it looks at 26.)
To that I get to encourage her that her drood will be just as big and strong one day.
So enjoy your time with your family. After all, real people care about the people behind the pixels, and what better place to start that with family.
