Apr 10th 2010 9:47AM As someone with a shaman main, I'd really feel better about this if we hadn't already seen the dispel and shaman announcements. They are simply destroying our class. If heromagelust isn't significantly lower haste than hero/BL then they really will have relegated shamans to near complete redundancy. Our stationary totems (those that they're actually letting us keep at least) that bestow buffs inferior to other classes' and now giving our one true game-changing buff to another class? Unless shaman dps is buffed tremendously, no optimized raid roster will include a DPS shaman. Yes this is QQ, but I'm so tired of shamans taking it in the rear. My only hope is that the resto changes will let us hold our own in at least one spec. As it stands, we will absolutely be low man on the totem pole again in Cataclysm. Glad I'm leveling that rogues I guess.
Apr 7th 2010 1:31PM I'm clearly in the minority, but I'm not loving the general direction. For one thing, it feels like they're eroding the totem mechanism little by little. Between the fact that most of our regular totems are inferior to other classes' buffs and the explicit removal of cleansing, how long until dropping totems is seen as optional instead of critical to the core mechanic of the class? Particularly concerning to me is the outlook they seem to have that passive effects are bad (first they came for our cleansing totem, how long until they come for our tremor?). Some neat ideas here (another AOE tool to perhaps bring us back to king of the raid heals), but I have some deeply fundamental concerns about where the class is being pushed. Trying to keep an open mind, but really not succeeding so far!
Feb 10th 2010 11:13AM There is just no way I'm walking around with a spare set of lower-tier gear just to downtune my DPS when I'm already carrying tank gear for my offspec. Much easier as an arms warrior to simply let up on the gas (wait longer to bladestorm, ease up on the HS rage-dump, use some GCDs on debuffing more than I might normally, that sort of thing).

Aug 26th 2008 2:29PM There is no great skill involved in a 5-man elemental shaman team running off one keyboard, which is the typical setup. There's some tedium involved in getting things setup the first time, but skill simply isn't the word.
Aug 10th 2008 9:55AM ~$1900 keyboard seems a little indulgent to me =P
Aug 4th 2008 8:30AM Locks complaining about being underpowered is like CEOs complaining about being underpayed. Don't get me wrong, I have as much a problem with stunlocking rogues as the next guy, but locks are more than up to par currently. I can't count the number of times I've been running through AV to get back on O only to have a lock in a tower hit me up with instadots and even a bolt if he's quick such that without me even seeing him he's taken me down to nearly half health by the time all ticks are done. My gear isn't great, but it isn't awful either (>300res).
Jul 31st 2008 12:51PM Hate, hate, hate the idea of motorcycles. I don't really like the flying machines in WoW either, but motorcycles are just ridiculous IMO.
