Mar 19th 2012 9:21PM wow, about time. the community has only been asking for this since vanilla.
Mar 31st 2011 12:18PM Thank god I don't play Bear anymore. Seems like they just want fewer and fewer tanks. The devs must think the queue times are to short.

Really, whats so social about it? Having a web forum does not make then social media experts.
In setting up the community site they broke most all the armory features but added some new ones. They ignored the current that people used all the time, like finding upgrades and viewing loot tables, interesting decision.
Its taken 5years to get basic guild tools.
Friend list is character centric not server centric. Sort of lame. If we are to "Bring the player not the class" then make it easier to find the player. RealID is a good idea for tracking RL friends but a simple system like CoH/CoV where you can add a sever friend would have been for more useful to the general population. At least being able to copy friend lists from toon to toon would be nice ( yes I know about the addons ).
As mentioned above chat out side WoW would be a huge social tool if it was intagrated in to the community site (ie facebook) or had an SDK so developers could build it into 3rd party chat clients (also mentioned above).
Having the community site actually have community information, pictures and firend linking (ie facebook, myspace) then it would be social.
To be honest if blizzard wanted to really up the profits they would make such a site. They have a great user base to leverage. But same could be said about Valve. Valve actually has the chat and member profiles that could be converted to social media.
Maybe someday these companies will see the light and listen to what the users are actually asking for... doubtful.
Jan 21st 2011 6:15PM I've gone back to the rules of healing from BC and Vanilla.
1. If the TANK dies it's the HEALERS fault,
2. If the HEALER dies its the TANKS fault.
3. If the DPS dies it's their own damn fault.
DPS should not normally be taking damage. I know this is not always true and there are exceptions to every rule. But it is a great starting point.
Jan 21st 2011 12:16PM I really like the end of the song.
Jan 20th 2011 3:58PM I agree, he stats he finds it incredibly useful, simplistic, and reliable. But why is useful? Some sort of example that's not an analogy would be great.
For example, if you ask someone why they like something and they answer because its useful its a little like asking why they like a sandwich and answer because its good.
