Breakfast Topic: Fun with kiting {WoW}

Jan 14th 2010 6:32PM I remember when I first started playing I had a friend tell me how a giant dragon attacked a city he was in. I assumed it was a server event and it helped get me excited about the game. Obviously that was not the case, but I too think it's great when it happens. As long as it's not too easy to do they should allow kiting for that once in a while thrill.

WoW patch 3.2.2 changes for Mages {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2009 6:11PM For those who are crying "nerfbat's a comin'" I'm not so sure that's the case. Nerfbat usually comes because PvE buffs result in PvP unbalance. I don't think this will cause any PvP unbalance. They didn't touch Arcane Barrage. Try getting a stack of 4 AB's (or just 2 for that matter) up w/only a six second timer. We'll save some mana in PvP on our AM proc's but that's about it.

Scattered Shots: So you want to be a Hunter - Part 3 Levels 10-20 {WoW}

Sep 3rd 2009 4:28PM I actually am new to hunters. I see you linked an article about why to pick a tenacity pet, but can you maybe explain what the different types of pets are? Also (I'm lvl 16 right now) there is a talent area for my pet but I haven't gotten any talents for it yet. When do we get to do that?

I did like how you listed rare pets. I'll have to check those outs.

Breakfast Topic: Shunning the Endgame? {WoW}

Jul 15th 2009 1:52PM "I've never been in a raid in my life."

I'll go one step further, I've never had a max level character in over a year of playing time. Part of the problem is I'm an altoholic. Part of the problem is I find myself in battlegrounds instead of grinding away the levels. I played for a year straight, 6 months before BC and 6 months after and made it to level 56 before going on a one year break. Came back and re-rolled and now am at lvl 68 and stuck in the battlegrounds again. I haven't bought wrath yet, and I may never buy it.

Like other above me I have a hard time setting aside scheduled blocks of time, so much so that I have a hard time committing to instance runs. I really enjoy the team work of instances but I hate having ditching the group. I really love PvP, it's so much more challenging and dynamic then questing/grinding and if I have to log off to tend to the kiddies or whatever I can do that. I can usually run one or two BG's in a sitting. In between matches I work the AH to keep some cash flow coming.

Advertising for casinos banned {WoW}

Apr 14th 2009 4:01PM It would have been better if the GM's/Devs could hack the roll system to make the house lose. That would teach them.

Intel said to be prepping eight-core Xeon for launch next month {Engadget}

Jan 29th 2009 7:09PM Die size/gate size and efficiently interconnecting all those cores. You have to get all that data to flow gracefully through all those cores otherwise there's going to be alot of waiting around. Intel has shown some prototype cpu's with 80 simple cores (not full core architecture cores) that they are using to improve upon the interconnect between integrated cores.

Documents suggest Microsoft knew Xbox 360 could damage discs all along {Engadget}

Dec 15th 2008 6:19PM So your argument is that people are only buying the 360 now because they are stupid and not because you can get one for $200 vs. the cheapest PS3 retailing for $400. I'm sorry, why isn't price a valid argument??
