Mar 31st 2008 7:58AM Um, who actually ever said that Prot warriors were supposed to be the best tanks in the game? Where has this idea come from? What makes warriors so special that they have to be singled out as the only 'proper' tanks?
Warriors can do more than tank y'know, they can also do very good DPS so they are a tank\dps hybrid. Paladins are tank\healer hybrids, and druids are tank\healer hybrids (seriously, you ever seen a druid taken to the raid solely to DPS?).
All 3 tanking classes are hybrids, and no single one is supposed to be the 'proper' tanking class.
Mar 26th 2008 4:11PM It's not an exploit or cheap for the first group that worked it out and used it successfully. It is cheap for everyone else who reads about it on web and then runs merrily off to copy it.
Mar 25th 2008 10:31AM As a tankadin I will probably pickup the warrior tanking gear rather than the Paladin stuff, and continue stacking spelldamage via my weapon, teir gear and flasks. Apart from maybe the Aldor trousers, the paladin stuff doesn't seem that great (it is great, but not 100badges better great) than the current badge rewards (Chestguard of the stoic guardian and unwavering legguards).
Mar 20th 2008 7:30AM Um, Avengers Shield? 30sec cooldown shield that hits 3 targets for large damage and dazes them as well? It's not just for pulling y'know!
Mar 19th 2008 7:25AM I always liked the 'worthless pots', playing a protection paladin they were great when you just wanted to kill something quick and blow all your mana. There isn't the guilt of using expensive Super Mana potions. It's a bit of a pain to find him but I always just '/1 anyone for prisoner daily' when flying up to skettis.
I never understood the hate for the birds till I watched my girlfriend flying around up there. Flying in full plate the worst that happened was an annoying debuff that made me go abit slower, whereas she is a clothie and has had countless deaths from being knocked from her griffin :\
Mar 6th 2008 10:32AM NO NO NO!!! Why are they changing Avengers Shield? There is nothing wrong with it as it is. It is easy to not break CC if you pull with any ounce of skill, just CC after the pull, or fire your shield on the appropriate mob.
Avengers shield is also a great way to break CC when you actually want to, loading all that threat onto the mob ensures the sheeping mage doesn't get an angry charging monster in his face.
