Sep 9th 2008 3:13PM god i swear blizzard is run by a bunch of retards. this ability as it currently stands is utterly worthless - utterly.
fix: your pet stays out, you keep all the buffs the tree gives you but you turn into a more powerful form of the demon you had out.
imp? you now cast super fireballs
succy? you can non channeled seduce, crazy burst dps but you are weak - like the imp
void? super armor buff, etc.
felhunter? you destroy all that is magic...
felguard? armor, dps, mobility, etc.
infernal? crash the world server.
wow that was so easy, and i just came up with that off the top of my head. and the blizz request on the forums is bullshit - they do not even tell you what they think this abilities role should be, but limit you in the suggestions you can make.
so in short - blizz, really?
May 21st 2008 11:33PM i remember getting raped in a bg by them - the first lock with atiesh (the legendary no one knows about). killed me and my buddies with just corruption and coa... oh pre-bc, how i miss thee
May 21st 2008 11:19PM recently started pvping resto after gearing up pve feral. love it. granted, if any dps out gears you, you die unless you can travel form out. get stun locked by rogues/pallies/druids. but this is only due to the gear differential. any dps that has comparable gear i can survive - very easily - until my mana runs out. with so many instant cast options pvp healing is great. although i have yet to get a grp for pve healing, as we are at that stage of need gear to get gear stage :/, so i can not comment on that.
pvp really just comes down to gear (well skill, but even a stupid rogue can stun lock you). we are at that unfortunate time in WoW where an expansion is on the horizon and everyone is pvping. most, many, mains or alts have full s1 by now and so until you get a few vindi pieces and some s1 under your belt pvping is going to be a uphill battle - doesnt matter what class or spec you will 'suck' till you get mostly purps.
that being said, i top the healing meters easily 90% of the time in bgs, unless i am stuck defending farm bc the horde started sucking in my battlegroup. i have ~150 res, ~7.5k hp, ~950 healing unbuffed of course. ns+ht macro crits anyone?
May 21st 2008 10:51PM after looking over all the new talents and spells for some classes, and realizing that it is still in alpha, i am kind of sorely disappointed. blizz has -- of work left to do.
oh and i am making a DK asap, they sound so rediculously OP atm it is insane, then once they get the giant nerf (like druids got) ill go reroll my druid and lock - demonform? lolz! (but the new talents still do not even address the problems with destro - oh well)
May 11th 2008 1:39PM im fine with 10 mans giving similar loot to 25 mans. perhaps the same approach could be taken with ZA as the new instances. 45 min runs in a 10 man should give 25 man loot. it is a lot easier to get 10 people together, hardcore or not. if you are hardcore you can easily do the 45min run. if you are casual you can do it too, itll just take a longer time to actually do it in 45min.
i also like the new badge loot system. sure the hardcores QQ their brains out when they started 'giving away' t5 level gear. but have you actually recorded how long it takes to get 100 badges? sure chain running SP for the hardcordies may be cake, but then you dont need the lewt anyway, let the casuals keep doing this - i can only do 1-2 heroics a day, MAYBE. and perhaps 1/2 a kara. thats at the most 50badges on a good week.
perhaps wow should be changed to a game that requires 30hrs a week to be played, or your account gets deleted. that way the hardcore players can be happy, since with all their bitching its like they do not actually enjoy the game when someone else has what they do. very grade school, imo.
i play wow because it is fun, when it stops being fun ill stop. do hardcores stop playing when people have the same things they do?
May 9th 2008 3:13PM to all you noobs who are QQing about class balance issues and how DK's are going to take over the universe or just become the 'new rogue/war/etc.': you fail.
blizz had said that they are going to pretty much rework every class around balance issues in wrath. every spec will be viable, every class will be viable. hell every class and spec is viable now, there are just too many pvpers and noobs playing this game to realize it. also too many pvpers going pve and in general just morons playing their class.
by making this game more casual friendly blizz is just going to increase the amount of idiots running around limit my desire to PUG anything substantially. heres hoping my guild stays together during the xpac.
Apr 26th 2008 5:22PM i pvp to smash alliance face, and to actually put the 'war' in warcraft. and the only even remotely hard part of pve is just finding 24 other people that are not functionally retarded, that does not take skill, just luck
Apr 20th 2008 11:12PM rofl. seeing your pathetic pee vee pee skills makes me laugh, especially when i read the article where you flame pvp in general. id suggest posting a video when you finally manage to crawl out of the 1500 range, and do not play a team that is clearly functionally retarded... flippin n00bz
Apr 17th 2008 6:11PM if i wanted to mash one button, i would have rolled mage. instead, i rolled warlock... blizz, make me a warlock again
Mar 7th 2008 1:45AM the entire problem with pvp is that blizzard did not intend for WoW to be a pvp game. heck they did not even implement pvp into the game until a few patches in.
they are now realizing that there is a huge demand for a good pvp system, but the classes are just not balanced that way. you can not balance 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 all at the same time, it can just not be done at the same time. blizz either needs to move to a majority pvp game or pve game, the only way to circumvent this would be to implement different mechanics for pvp and pve, which would not make sense and which i do not see blizz doing.
this is why blizz allows you to have 10 characters, i know it sucks but every serious player needs to have at least one alt. blizz cycles its classes through nerf and buff stages (at least as of late) so when one class becomes nerfed due to current conditions of the game, you can play your other character. this, however, completely pushes away the 'casual' player (which is a whole other argument for another post).
so WoW, with how incredibly dynamic it is, can never be a perfectly balanced game. it wasnt designed to be in the beginning, and unless huge changes occur in WOTLK it never will be
