Arcane Brilliance: Level 70 checklist {WoW}

May 12th 2008 1:04PM @ Fenix

You really have no idea what Fury Warriors are capable of these days. . or how Melee gear stacks better then Mages DPS caster gear.

Playing a mage is no rocket science. . scorch x5 . . . fireball. . refresh scorch .. repeat.

All im saying is that if you playing your mage for raid DPS or PVP you will fail to other classes in equivelent gear. If you dont think so now. .just wait till your hunters, locks etc. . catches up with you. Then you will be taking a back seat on DPS just like i do.

And little did you know that I AM A MAGE!

Here is my armory link. . http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Azgalor&n=Malekai

I understand 'liking Mages' I "liked" my mage when it was actually a balanced class. Im telling you right now. . whether you want to beleive it or not.. Mages are a broken class in this game. They are worthless in both PVP and PVE

Arcane Brilliance: Level 70 checklist {WoW}

May 11th 2008 12:51PM I have better advice for Mages then this article can offer up.

Stop now. . and re-roll a different class ASAP!!! Look. . Portals, a funny little Pig Poly, and Mana Biscuits are all good, but in end game content, that is all you will have.

PVP - Forget it. Resilience takes everything the Mage is good at and flushes it right down the toilet. We are second worst PvP class in the game right now just ahead of Shammy's.

PVE - Due to our crappy T5-T6 gear scaling so horridly, you will be out-dps'ed by almost every other DPS class in the game. INCLUDING WARRIORS!!!! Spellfire/Spellstrike is all fun and games until you leave Kara/ZA/Mags/Gruuls and then step into TK for the first time just to get slaughtered on the the DPS meters.

The cold hard truth is that this is a crippled and very broken class right now. Re-Roll something that is more valuable in every aspect of the game and ignore your Mage until Blizz pulls their heads out of their cracks and fixes this class.

Blood Pact: Warlocks are red, mages are blue {WoW}

Mar 18th 2008 3:44PM I have both a mage and a lock. . . the Mage being my main.

The QQing on all the mage forums are VALID people.

Look. . im going to put it as simple as i can for everyone to understand why Mages feel so cheated.

In late end game. . t5/t6 Zones. . hunters and locks have higher DPS due to their superior scaling. While locks for example. . are getting 6% dmg increase and numbers are flying through the roof. . Mages are getting Stam and Spirit increases and falling behind any equally geared rouge, lock, or hunter on DPS charts.

Mages should be the Rouges of ranged DPS in terms of damage dished out. I dont care how you try to argue that. . its the simplest simple truth. Especially in end game content. Every damage meter should read Rouge > Mage > Lock/Hunter > *

If your referring to Mages as top DPS classes and you havent been past gruuls or seen the light of day in the t5/t6 content. . . then your opinion does not matter. You shouldnt even be trying to debate this.

Mage v. Warlock going to a higher level in WotLK {WoW}

Mar 7th 2008 11:07AM Rouges should be top DPS. But Mages are supposed to be strong damage dealers. If war are getting out DPS'ed by locks, Spreists, Hunters, Rouges, MS Warriors, and Shammys. . .

than what use do we have other then the occasional sheep, AI buff, or table???

Im full epic and around 1200 +dmg right now and i barely hang with rouges wearing mostly blues. . and full epic locks, shammys, or hunters. Forget about it, im way under them on damage meters. Has nothing to do with spell rotation. . its because there is efficiency problems with cast time and mana. Blizzard throws in a few things that increases spell haste, but all it acts as is a mana dump for the same crappy DPS in return.

Slight increase in cast time and lower mana costs is the only thing that can balance this for us.

But then Blizz is so hard up for PvP that it make us OP in arenas and BG's. So whats the next logical step??? Seperate PVP and PVE and let us live amongst our own worlds.
