Oct 20th 2009 7:11PM I'm gonna disagree with #15. Back before 3.1, when guilds would mention that they had Sarth 3d down while recruiting, and I was still playing a feral tank me and some friends ventured into Naxx. Despite all of us having the most baseline gear needed for naxx10, we got to KT with minimal difficulties... aside from KT himself. 2nd attempt we lost everyone except for myself (OT) and our healer (I believe it was a holy pally, but can't quite remember). A wipe was called, but I picked up KT and the healer managed to keep me up through both KT and his adds for quite a while. I finally went down when KT was sitting at around 25k health. While #15 is correct in saying that we held up the raid, the fact that we got so close to downing KT with nothing but a tank and healer, and how the rest of our raid was cheering us on (I still remember being called a "beast of a tank" after we lost, even though all props go to the healer) makes me less likely to follow it like the law. I guess it really all depends on how hopeless the situation really is, and how your raid leader or raid itself feels about you taking some time to keep the fight going.
I play a Priest now, either holy or disc depending on what we need, and you can be sure I'll do the same thing that the holy pally did for me.
Oct 18th 2009 1:15PM Some friends and I waited around to 1 Am doing BG's, waiting for the event to start. We had 6 attempts (didn't bring in all of our alts, could have had upwards of 10), and in all had one magic broom, one squashling, and the rest were rings.
The "fight" is perhaps to easy to heal actually. Tank didn't require any healing outside of my holy priests PW:S and Renew, so I'd toss some DoTs and just relax.
Sep 22nd 2009 5:08PM Well I only had two days to enjoy leveling my priest through AV, but at least I had some form of break from questing, The worst part of all this is going back to shadow, since I was loving disc... at least my friends have me going disc heals come 80 :).
Jan 2nd 2009 11:48AM I'm horde, along with what seems like the entire laughing skull population. I figured all the kiddies would want to roll alliance, for a little chance to hang out with leeroy jenkins.
Jan 1st 2009 11:01PM Had an hour open to play, decided to do some grizzly hills PvP dailies... Ended up in a 900 queue on Laughing Skull US. Took 55 minutes, so I still managed to do the quest just east of conquest hold and kick alliance ass (how little there was at the time).
Dec 20th 2008 8:27PM Considering it was a quote from a blizzard employee, you should either stop complaining, or go ahead and quit the game.
Sep 22nd 2008 6:22PM Well i guess I forgot to add that my entire guild is from winnipeg (in my post right below yours), although we are all on laughing skull.
Sep 22nd 2008 1:51PM Me and a about 6-7 friends all re-rolled on a PvP server, so i guess you can call us a local guild. Even more so because we managed to find another player in our area, who actually knows some of the same people we do (happened during a classic canada vs. america barrens chat session) in real life. We have yet to meet him, but's it's just a matter of time
Sep 3rd 2008 8:53AM I have 4 real life friends who are...or should i say, were in The Firm. Last i checked they had all quit, and moved onto another raiding guild on the server. Just as well, The Firm was always too big for my tastes anyways.
Mar 7th 2008 7:09PM i talk about WoW to people who i know play, and to friends who don't play but who have played countless other MMORPG's with me for years before i started playing WoW. It's a good thing i talk to them about it to, because so far i have recruited 4 of them to azeroth :).
