Jul 7th 2011 10:11PM NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I've avoided the "major columnist explaining and killing my market" curse for so long....
Jun 29th 2011 11:07PM +1 to the Mooncloth thing. It's counterintuitive, but 4-piece Mooncloth is overpowered like nothing else. Surviving as cloth can often be about kiting, and kiting is about mobility. 4-piece mooncloth effectively gives you a watered down Hand of Freedom every 15 seconds, which is beastly.
Apr 28th 2011 3:31PM Dakara is effectively Zul'Jin 2.0 Same animal abilities, only this time they're not tied to percentage of health, they seem to be tied to a timer. I've killed him in Lynx and in Dragonhawk phase with high enough dps. As always, the Lynx deciding to shred your face off is obscenely dangerous and has killed more puggers than I can count... defensive cooldowns are a must if you have them. The grevious throw looked almost immaterial in the first phase; none of my healers seemed to have any problem with it. Standing in fire columns on dragonhawk is still a quick way to get killed.
I can't speak to the Eagle or Bear phases since... we didn't get to them. Every time we did this boss (about 10 total attempts) we either wiped or won before we got past dragonhawk. I suspect this fight will get re-tuned, or put back on a 20% phase shift like it used to be, because the Eagle phase was the hardest of them all back in the day with the lightning bolt every time you cast... if it still exists, it's being totally wasted right now because most groups won't see it.

Jun 15th 2010 10:31AM Gotta admit, didn't think it was a coincidence that the app launched on pre-order launch day. Was SERIOUSLY hoping the White pre-orders would be an app exclusive or something equally gimmicky to promote the app... but no such luck.
Dec 29th 2009 5:29PM When I pugged this a few days ago our healer REFUSED to leave the ledge. The entire rest of the group went and did it the normal way, and all eventually wiped because he stayed back bitching at us that we weren't doing the easy strat. We had to do it this way to get him to heal and finish it. My statement to him when we were done and he was like "see isn't that a lot easier" is the same as now: pussy strat is pussy.
Dec 4th 2009 2:06PM Thanks for just wasting my two dollars - Guess it was my fault for trusting TUAW's review and not studying the website first.
"PrimoSpot Parking is designed to help you find spots in New York City or Boston -- you punch in your location and parking spots, garages, or bike racks will pop up on the screen with markers according to when they open up."
Except... this isn't true. What the app does when you punch in your location is tell you when the parking spots become -no cost-, I.E. when the meters shut off. It does NOT estimate or tell you when the spot will open up. From their own website, "Parking spots: Easily see on the map where you can (and cannot) park, check the markers to know how much time is left based on the regulations, and know what spots that are about to become legal."
Becoming legal and becoming available are not at ALL the same things. It's my fault for trusting you, but you definitely just cost me two dollars with terribly shoddy reporting and I suspect you'll cost quite a few more of your readers until this gets edited or taken down.
Oh, and @John R Haigh: Primo is available for Android, coming for blackberry, and freely available on all mobile browsers at http://m.primospot.com. All facts available on the front page of Primo's website that this article failed to cover.

Jun 8th 2009 4:30PM Looks like AT&T continues to screw over its existing customers - several iPhone 3G customers I spoke to, even day 1 adopters like myself, can't get upgrade pricing until 12/21. Fail, AT&T. Fail.
