GAME weighs final options before point of no return {Joystiq}

Mar 21st 2012 1:31AM "MCV lays out four plans it has gathered from sources, which may lead to potential outcomes over the next week for the troubled company."

GAME has more endings than ME3.

Mass Effect 3 on sale for $40 at Microsoft Store Online {Joystiq}

Mar 19th 2012 9:25PM Everything is proceeding as atghunter has foreseen it.

"Finally remember, they have much more data at their disposal. They know how sales are going, how much time people are playing that are synced into Origin, etc. They will watch those numbers this weekend. If sales slow, watch for price cutting within 10 days (just over the two week US release date). It will mean that retailers are getting nervous and will slow new unit orders. As I’ve said before, this will come down to hard currency. If the protests start having an effect on that front, the response will come."

Bit long, but a really, really interesting read about the PR strategies being employed to counter the ending protests. The guy has been dead accurate to every detail so far.

Patch 4.3 PTR: New achievements uncovered {WoW}

Sep 28th 2011 2:09AM You can take your hoof ahead.
Applejack is ahead by half a nose.
Or maybe three quarters of a nose...
No! About 63.7% of a nose!

...roughly speaking.

Patch 4.3: Shaman tier 13 armor revealed {WoW}

Sep 15th 2011 12:18AM Don't try to dig gum out with a bone; it only makes things worse.

15 Minutes of Fame: Knitting together a gaming life {WoW}

Aug 5th 2011 7:20AM A fair portion of the internet would be willing to debate the merits of a pony sweater with you. Such a sweater would, in theory, be approximately 20% cooler than a Thrall one.

Lichborne: How to kill a death knight in PVP {WoW}

Jul 6th 2011 1:54AM When I saw the picture, my first thought was that the ponies' personalities were all wrong.
This of course, will simply not do.
I rushed to the comments section to make sure this was set right, and was glad to see Arianna had me covered. Crisis averted.

Now to actually read the article.

Tuesday Morning Post: By patch day be purged edition {WoW}

Jun 28th 2011 9:17AM As with every major patch, don't expect to be able to play properly today.
Odds are very good that there will be an "unexpected" maintenance extension.
To all you people who like to take off work on patch days and wait for servers to come back up, and then rage when it's not back online right on schedule, I would suggest you find a good book or game to tide you over.

Remote guild chat feature bugged for authenticator ranks {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2011 12:55AM I've been trolling guildies using prat with this while it's free. The icon that appears next to the name in the chat window when someone sends something from the mobile chat is a null pointer if you have prat installed, and lags the ever-loving shit out of anyone using it as they flood with LUA errors. They also can't see the incoming whispers at all, it seems, and thus have no idea who's freezing them up. You might want to disable prat if you've got douches like me in guild who think it's hilarious, at least until they update it.
Fun times.

Encrypted Text: Pinpoint interrupts with Gnosis addon {WoW}

Mar 9th 2011 5:58PM I suggest you try it again, Chase. This time, let go your conscious self and act on instinct.
Your UIs can deceive you. Don't trust them.

Maintenance extended: 5:00 p.m. PST {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 1:30PM Someone's gonna say it anyway, might as well get it out of the way.

Blizzard, just say the servers will be down all day. If you get the realms up in a timely manner, that's awesome. If you don't, at least you didn't set unrealistic deadlines that you can't meet.
Underpromise and overdeliver is wiser practice than constantly failing to predict the "unexpected" extensions that everyone else in the world seems to see coming years in advance.
