Jul 29th 2011 8:25AM It's a tie these days, between my Brazier of Dancing Flames or the Orb of Deception my rogue has had for years. That gets the best reactions, since it's the ultimate beer goggles. My Forsaken rogue becomes a NE. That'll be nasty when it wears off!
Dec 9th 2010 6:49PM I apologize if this has been brought up already, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the notes about the skinning bug. A skinnable mob would die, then you may or may not get leather for it. While I did get maxed in skinning in about 3 1/2 hrs, I didn't get nearly as much leather as I could have. I ran into this in both Vashj'ir and in Mt. Hyjal.
Nov 24th 2010 1:05PM I wanted to add this: I decided on my final night before 4.0.3a, I'd finally do For The Horde with my mage. I went into Wrath pvp'ing with her(she's my alt these days) and it was a fitting way to send off the old content. Of course, I had no clue how hard it would be to do the Pilgrim's Peril quests after the destruction of Auberdine and those boats...
Nov 24th 2010 12:59PM Just something I wanted to clear up as an "old fogey": The name of the dance that's done by Michael Jackson in "Thriller" is called The Wolfman. MJ certainly didn't come up with that dance.
Anyhow, great podcast as always. HAPPY SHATTERING!
Oct 12th 2010 1:41PM "Frostbrood Matriarchs are animating strangely."
"The spell effect visual for Earthquake looks awkward when cast on a staircase or a steep incline."
I'd love to see a vid or at least a screenshot of some of these bugs. When Blizzard says that an animation is either strange or awkward, I wish I knew what they meant.
Jun 6th 2010 9:48PM My speculation is that patch 3.3.5 is just around the corner. Also, I know the minimum requirements for WoW are increasing, so it makes sense if they have to upgrade the servers as well. I also definately agree that it could be related to the intergration of Battle.net Personally, seeing these patches now could mean less hot fixes and downtime come Cata's launch.
Soon, my troll bruddas and my gnomies can retake their cities...FOR GNOMERGAN!
May 29th 2010 4:04PM Four things in WoW have ever scared me in the(off and on) 5 yrs of the game.
#4:My first encounter with Stitches. I didn't see the zone yell, as I was very new. Next thing I know my baby rogue and my husband's baby warlock were one shotted. I think that why he loathes the place and hasn't gone back on alts. I grew to love it, for whatever ungodly reason. Anytime I go back there(to help guildies in our leveling guild), it make it a point to kill him and happily loot his femur.
#3: The alarm bots in Gnomergan. It's another zone that I ended up loving, but it was scary as Hades seeing and hearing "Intruder Alert!" over and over again. As a rogue(at the time), I was scrambling to get those things down. When I was at the comparable lvl, I had a fear and dread wash over me. I still kill them if I just see them in BT to this day.
#2: Silithus. Now, I don't have a phobia of insects or spiders. However, I ran in there about 9 months after launch, as a level 50. Half of the zone was closed and there wasn't very many mobs. The feeling of total desolation and an...Insect Utopia in the zone was very creepy. I also was playing late at night and the first time I heard one of the silithi agrgo me, I jumped out of my skin.
#1: This requires no introduction or even much explanation. The scariest thing in WoW is... MGRRGGRL.
'Nuff said. :)
May 20th 2010 12:06PM My mom had a daughter from her first marriage. I didn't know about it until I was almost 30. My sister found my mother on Facebook as a recommend friend. That's when she contacted my mom and I got a whole extended family(her kids and her husband.) So that's my Facebook miracle, and I'm aware of that everyday.
A lot of people damn the internet and with good reason. But, sometimes, bless the internet.
Mar 23rd 2010 10:34AM I loved the article, and most of the list, but I also am not a big
fan of the Gromm. While it would be nice to have a rematch w/
Illidan, I would prefer to leave BC where it is.
My picks are:
1) The Emerald Nightmare. I've never played a druid, but I've been
fascinated since the first time I did the Erkanus quest in Sunken
Temple. I loved seeing the ghost of Ysera in Dragonblight, and I've
been curious for literally years. I enjoy Malfurion and I hope to
get some answers about the state of Ysera's mind/spirit. I also got
brave with my rogue and decided to stealth into the barren dens in
Moonglade. I didn't get very far; there was ??? con shadows that one
shotted me. Still, it makes me wonder when we'll get to see that.
2) Azshara. This is another I've wondered about for a couple of
years now. I'd like to see just how powerful she's become and I do
really look forward to the underwater instances. This would make
sense with the return of the Highborne(non blood elves; basically NE
mages), and the unlocking of mages for NEs.
3) Grim Batol. Oh yeah, this place look fascinating to me from the
get-go. Someone mentioned the red dragon Aspect possibly going mad.
Given the taint that lingers around the place and the awful memories
of inslavement, we may have to knock her back to sanity. I don't
want to kill her if I can avoid it.
4) CoT: The fall of Ner'zul. The Bronze Dragon flight is trying to
prevent the Infinite Dragonflight from stopping the rise of Ner'Zul
into the Lich King. I completely agree that this instance hub is
5) Deathwing: I hate his son. I hate his daughter. I use his
forgotten offspring as a mount(netherdrake). I can't wait to see him
again. I like the idea of prying off his armor(maybe siege weapon
style?) before you can do real damage to him.
6) Garrosh Hellscream and Staghelm. Seriously, there needs to be set
PvP raids against these NPCs. No one likes them, but you can get big
time honor from it, more people would be willing to defend the NPCs.
Although I completely understand why the sentiment that the Horde got
borked w/ Hellscream. Thrall needs to put him back in his place.
Mar 23rd 2010 7:55AM Well, here's to hoping! My old main has some neat mounts, but I'd love to have a chance with my mage.
