Activision-Blizzard September results reveals box sales paradigm {WoW}

Nov 6th 2008 5:27PM It's sort of like an ENRON trick in accounting. You are supposed to report sales as they are earned in your accounting books. This is a new way of accounting which is totally in their favor. It gives way to a new type of protection that I'm coining:

Say a current quarter isn't going so well for them. All they have to do is round up all the accounts of known botting (they don't ban people immediately - they wait and ban a bunch together) and ban them before their financial quarter report - Thus terminating their accounts and realizing 100% depreciation which then becomes reportable revenue for Activision/Blizzard. Thus saving their asses for a quarterly report.

...totally unethical.

Wrath PvP gear hints at Arena Season 5 {WoW}

Aug 26th 2008 8:23PM ..."The Arena epic mace is at 186.5 DPS (806 top-end) while the Naxxramas maces sit at 203.6 and 203.7 DPS (up to 880 top-end), which makes the Arena mace massively inferior. "

Boo f'ing who. It's about time PVE takes center stage again. I hope we don't see PVP being the dominant role again for at least a year after wotlk is released.

Blue poster Belfaire explains Blizzard's stance on multiboxing {WoW}

Mar 13th 2008 1:04PM First of all we have a TOS - no such thing as a EULA.

Second - when the f did blizzard make law. You more than once say certain behaviors are legal vs. illegal.

As long as we're on the subject I think people who bot do no wrong. Who are they harming by not wanting to stance dance a warrior so much when leveling that their wrist falls off. Botting just makes good ergonomic sense.

Someone in my guild got kicked out because he divulged he botted. He lost all his friends... probably just made him want to bot more.

Who needs guilds these days anyways. Just PUG for badges... all in a casual days work.

Build Shop: Warrior 17/44 {WoW}

Mar 12th 2008 7:49PM Consider this - Take your 5 points out of improved berserker rage and put them into improved demoralizing shout. You already have improved thunder clap so you are considering some defensive abilities. Reading wowwiki about demoralizing shout you will see that attack power scales much more on any sort of mob more than it does players.

My theory is that improved demoralizing shout will yield a greater outgoing/incomming damage ratio then the 5 points being spent in improved zerker.
